The technology exhibition CES 2021 has slowly come to an end, and even though it took place entirely virtually this year, it offered a more spectacular and groundbreaking show than ever before. And no wonder, in addition to a ton of information about various robots, 5G and solutions to humanity's burning problems, we also got a rather unusual announcement from Panasonic. She prepared a practical demonstration of a car display for customers and not just technology enthusiasts and clearly showed that you don't necessarily need to buy an expensive vehicle for a futuristic experience. Qualcomm, which directly supported Apple's competition with $1.4 billion, and the space agency SpaceX, which will head into space next Tuesday, also pulled out.

SpaceX scores again. He will conduct his Starship test next Tuesday

There wouldn't be a day without an announcement about the gigantic space company SpaceX, which has recently been stealing the front pages of almost all newspapers and fascinates not only space enthusiasts, but also ordinary residents of our modest planet. This time, the company prepared a test of its spaceship Starship, which we already reported a few days ago. At that time, however, it was not yet certain when this spectacular spectacle would actually take place, and we were at the mercy of speculations and all sorts of assumptions. Fortunately, this is coming to an end, and we hear from the company that Starship will most likely make a trip to space next Tuesday.

After all, the previous test didn't go quite as planned, and even though the engineers got what they wanted, the Starship prototype exploded on careless impact. However, this was somehow expected and SpaceX certainly focused on these minor flaws. This time, the spaceship is awaiting another altitude test to confirm that it is capable of carrying both itself and a really heavy load without any unexpected problems. Next to NASA and the biggest rocket of this space company so far, we can expect another real spectacle that will happen in a few days and will very likely conquer another unwritten milestone.

Panasonic boasted a display for the windshield. She also gave a practical demonstration

When it comes to cars and smart technology, many experts are sounding the alarm. Although nowadays it is possible to easily use navigation and other information during the trip without having to take your eyes off the windshield, the integrated displays are still somewhat confusing and offer more information than would be appropriate. The company Panasonic rushed to come up with a solution, although it hasn't been heard about much lately, but it definitely has something to brag about. At CES 2021, we were treated to a practical demonstration of a special front display that displays not only navigation and the correct direction, but also traffic information and other details that you would otherwise have to search for in a difficult way.

For example, we are talking about artificial intelligence that processes information about traffic, cyclists, passers-by and other important matters in real time, thanks to which you will be able to react in time. In short, imagine such a user interface in a video game, where not only the speed and direction of travel are displayed, but also other, more or less important details. It is precisely this aspect that Panasonic wants to focus on and offer a compact, affordable and, above all, safe display based on augmented reality, thanks to which you will not just get lost. In addition, according to the company, the interface can be implemented in almost any vehicle without the car manufacturers having to develop anything extra. It can therefore be expected that the system from Panasonic will become the new standard.

Qualcomm teased Apple nicely. He offered the competition 1.4 billion dollars

We have reported many times in the past about the company Nuvia, which focuses primarily on the production of chips for servers and data centers. After all, this manufacturer was founded by ex-Apple engineers who decided not to compete with the company and instead forge their own path. Of course, Apple didn't like this and unsuccessfully sued this "rising star" several times. However, Qualcomm also added fuel to the fire, which decided to tease the apple giant somewhat and offered Nuvia an investment worth 1.4 billion dollars. And this is not just any investment, because Qualcomm has formally bought out the manufacturer, i.e. acquired a majority stake.

Qualcomm has rather ambitious plans with Nuvia, which have started to spread through news channels like an avalanche. The company boasted the most ground-breaking technology, thanks to which it is possible to achieve significantly cheaper operation, lower energy consumption and, above all, incomparably higher performance. The giant chipmaker quickly noticed this and decided to implement this system not only in its chips for data centers, but also in smartphones and smart cars. Either way, the investment should definitely pay off for Qualcomm, as Nuvia has a lot to offer and it can be expected that this offer will grow even more in the future.
