It's great that we know what's discounted, but at least a one-line description would help a lot :)
retro fighter is not on Czech itunes! :/
I don't know if they are discounted, but I know that I bought it and I have a Czech account
That's interesting, anyway, while writing the article, I downloaded the game from the CZ App Store, so the developers probably downloaded it. Although I don't understand why they would.
I think a bit of criticism is in order.
An article in the form of a list of discounted and free apps doesn't look very nice, especially when there's nothing more about them and some of the discounts are already 4 days old, so maybe they're long overdue. Anyone who likes to follow discounts, news, updates, etc., certainly checks appshopper.com every day (perhaps more than once). I highly recommend this site to anyone who hasn't checked it out yet, it's a must. There is also a new (free) application that comes from this website - AppShopper.
If you want to continue to notify about discounts, which I definitely appreciate, I would recommend always choosing a few extra things, for which you at least write something briefly, or add a picture. It will look better and certainly attract more attention. I will definitely not go through the list in the form of this article, it does not appeal to me. So please keep the articles on this topic engaging.
PS: I meant no harm, I appreciate the work for this site.
You can't disagree, a little Vic than poor...
Thanks for the opinion. Anyway, we've been thinking about how to handle this updated page as best we can. At first we used to add an image to each app, but after a few days this article would be extremely cluttered and also more time consuming. We also rejected one or two sentences for a similar reason - lack of clarity and extra time rather than being lazy, but time is very valuable with discount events. Moreover, at any moment the promotion may end and the discounted app will cost full price again (see the recent Prince Of Persia by Gameloft, which was extremely limited in time). The article is continuously updated, so older promotions and discounts remain in it, which is why there are four days old promotions that are no longer valid. In addition, for each application, the article is directly on iTunes, so it takes the user less than three minutes to go through all the current discounts. The form of this article is still under discussion and may change soon. For now, however, this is how it is. I'm glad you appreciate our work :).
There is an article about the application on iTunes, but I take that as a last resort. A continuously updated article can be nice, if it ends after two or three days, then it probably needs a new article. I normally envision one article each day on this topic and it might be updated throughout the day, but I'll admit that after reading the article, I only look at the comment updates, never the article update.
But the problem is that sometimes the discounts are only short-term and do not appear all at once, but throughout the day. Then all that remains is to state in the article only what is possible and makes sense, and to put new things or other observations in the comments. It's not possible to catch everything, but that's what websites like appshopper are here for.
So my habit is – every day I glance at the apple shopper and the appshopper. I read what I'm interested in or what has a larger number of comments on Apple. Then, during the day, I look at appshopper, and I'm only interested in new articles and changes in the number of comments on the apple store. The number of posts is authoritative for me. And if I happen to discover an interesting event on appshopper, I look for a way to share it here with everyone - an article on this topic, under which I would contribute a discussion post, would help me. If I can't find a suitable article on the apple store where it would fit, unfortunately I usually keep it to myself. Facebook and Twitter are not an integral part of my life and therefore I use them little and irregularly.
... so ... I guess I answered a small questionnaire from a survey of fans of the apple tree. :D
... I agree, I also see this article as a bit irrelevant ... who wants to watch free apps, visit iAppWorld.net, or follow their twitter, or RSS ... who is not interested, will not look for them anywhere ...
For example, I would like to recommend Apple, the articles in which you point out interesting applications/games are great. The AppStore is so full that you don't even know the launchers of excellent applications and utilities. About the discounts. The list of discounts is nice, but you don't know what it is, if it's worth the money. There are often no comments or ratings on the AppStore, just a brief description from the author and a few screenshots and a lot of Application crap. recommended from the apple store has a certain weight for me ;-) I just go to such a list on appshopper every day and if I really don't know something from it or I haven't heard about it or I'm inexperienced what it is. I'm a lemmer, huh? :D
Mehehe, I'll probably turn off autocorrect on my iPhone. I'm reading that one after the other :-D

I have a question. I use AppShopper and it tells me that Need for Speed Shift has been reduced to 0.99 USD (0.79 EUR). However, when I switch to the App Store, the game is still 6.99 (5.49)... :( Is it possible that the game is discounted only for US iTunes accounts?
This will be more due to the fact that EA has already returned the price to the original value and it has not yet been reflected in AppShoper. Sometimes it also happens, for example, when the price of the application is shown as FREE and when you click on it, €0,79 is displayed and a warning that the owner of the application has modified the price back.
That is not possible... 29.9. they lowered the price and this morning the AppShopper let me know that the price was lowered... I think the FREE -> 0,79 thing happened to me a few times, you're right... Oh, I missed it :(
