It seems that Apple has kept some of the news until the next iterations of the iOS 13 operating system. This is especially the case of postponing the sending of an iMessage message or the visualization of the music player according to the lyrics of the song.

Today, iMessage is a separate platform. They natively support encryption, images including animations in GIF format, and integrate their own App Store. So often, iMessage is on the scales, holding users back from switching to the competition. And it looks like they'll be able to do even more.

One Reddit user with the nickname Jmaster_888 received a reply directly from Apple's Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, Craig Federighi. A user asked about the possibility of timed iMessage sending, i.e. scheduling or delaying the sending of a message.

iMessage 2019

Craig wrote back that this is one feature they are considering and will think about further. Currently, however, this feature would bring a number of challenges that Apple has not resolved:

  • How to deal with unsent messages.
  • Whether to support deletion and editing of delayed undelivered messages.
  • How to behave when someone sends you a message before sending a snooze message?

Then, in his response, he further pondered the social aspect of the entire function. For example, when the iPhone sends a scheduled message and the person feels that you are available on the device. For example, he may try to write you back or call you.

Visualization of the lyrics of the song in the player

In another post, another Reddit user diggidiggi1dolla showed Cragio's answer about visualizing the music player based on the lyrics of the song being played. The Music application gradually rainbows and changes hues during playback mode. Originally, this feature could already be in iOS 13, but it was delayed.

Craig described to the user that the feature had a major impact on the device's CPU and battery performance. However, Apple is said to have finally optimized everything, the latest beta version iOS 13.1 already offers the function, although it is still not flawless.

In any case, we should expect the first decimal update together with ETA (expected time of arrival) and other functions that Apple did not make it to the iOS 13 release.
