If your experience with Apple computers dates back to the 2001s, you will surely remember the then relatively popular graphics editor CorelDRAW from the Canadian developer Corel. At that time, it was one of several key programs (or applications, if you will) that you reached for when you needed to process some graphics. However, since XNUMX, Corel products have disappeared from the OS X/macOS platform. That is now changing, and after less than twenty years, CorelDRAW is making a comeback, and with great fanfare.

This afternoon it was announced that the completely new and upgraded CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2019 is coming with full macOS support, including compatibility with the Apple Human Interface Guidelines, i.e. controls and ergonomics tailored to the macOS operating system. The new version of the software thus supports Dark Mode, Touch Bar and other achievements of modern Macs and MacBooks.

CorelDRAW offers functions that its users were used to years ago, only in a modern and improved jacket. Here we can find a vector graphics editor, an illustrator, a photo-editor with support for layers, RAW photo editing and processing, support for indexing files and creating libraries, and much more. It is therefore a direct competitor to Adobe Illustrator or Affinity Designer.

The app is available starting today for both a fixed price ($499) and an annual subscription ($198/year). Product and subscription information can be found at official website. The application and subscription can also be processed via Mac App Store.
