The quarantine also affected the entertainment industry, and in the US, for example, popular talk shows were interrupted. Comedian and presenter Conan O'Brien is also behind one of the most famous ones. He has now announced that they will be back on the air on Monday, March 30. And in a very unconventional form.

For filming, he will only use the environment of his home, where he will shoot on iPhone and talk to guests via Skype. Together with the team, they want to prove, among other things, that it is possible to shoot a full-fledged episode from home using technologies that anyone can access. "My entire team will be working from home, I'll be recording videos on my iPhone and I'll be talking to guests via Skype," O'Brien announced on Twitter. "The quality of my work will not decrease because it is technically not possible," he added jokingly.

They came up with the idea of shooting the entire show on an iPhone after they had already used the iPhone in the past for short segments of videos for social networks and realized that they could use the phones to create the entire show. It will certainly be interesting to see how they deal with it. Even if the quality of recorded video from an iPhone is perfect, it still can't match professional cameras and studio lighting.

So far, it looks like Conan O'Brien will be the first host to return to the screens with a full show. Other presenters such as Stephen Colbert or Jimmy Fallon continue to broadcast, but in new episodes they use older skits and segments. It's easier for O'Brien in that his show is 30 minutes long, while Colbert or Fallon have hour-long shows. All these shows are very difficult to find on TV screens in the Czech Republic, however, it is very popular to watch them on YouTube, where all shows have their own channels with lots of current videos.
