But last week, the world saw a pair of product photos showing two new phone models (iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max) as well as the fourth series of Apple Watch. In today's article, we will focus on the second mentioned product and summarize what the photo revealed to us about the Apple Watch Series 4.
The images were exclusively published by a popular foreign server 9To5Mac and according to him, these are official photos directly from Apple. The editors of the server did not reveal where exactly the images came from. However, 9To5Mac has confirmed countless times in the past that its sources are trustworthy, revealing products and software news before their official launch. There is no reason not to believe the latest leaks. Therefore, let's see what changes await us in the new generation of Apple Watch.
The biggest draw will be a 15% larger display compared to the current generation while maintaining the same, or at least very similar, dimensions. Apple will thus offer an edge-to-edge display for its next product, which will certainly come in handy, especially in the case of a smart watch. We can count on new dials that will benefit from the larger display diagonal. After all, one of them is depicted directly on the leaked photos, and although it does not look exactly minimalistic, some users will certainly find it useful.
However, changes also took place on the side of the watch. It can be seen from the photo that the crown and button have undergone a slight redesign – both elements are embedded more into the body, and the crown is newly red only around the perimeter. But the most interesting thing is the new opening between the crown and the button, which according to the design style should be a microphone. Whether it will be an additional microphone to improve call quality, or just replace the current pair on the left side of the watch, remains to be seen.
In any case, it is definitely not possible to read all the news that the Apple Watch Series 4 will bring from one photo. For example, the watch is expected to offer a larger battery and with it the ability to analyze sleep. We can certainly also count on a new, more powerful processor and improved sensors for measuring heart rate and sports activities.
