We are already almost a month after Apple's biggest event of 2023. Not only do we know the shape of the iPhone 15, but earlier, in June at WWDC23, the company also showed us the future in the Apple Vision Pro product. But do we still have something to look forward to before the end of the year, or will there be any new products until next year?

Apple entered 2023 with new Macs (Mac mini, 14 and 16" MacBook Pro) and a new HomePod, when it released these products in the form of a press release in January. At WWDC in June, the company launched other computers (15" MacBook Air, Mac Pro, Mac Studio) and the already mentioned Vision Pro, we also learned about news in macOS 14 Sonoma, iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17 , when they are all already available to the general public. Last but not least, Apple introduced the new iPhone 15 series, the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 at the September event. So what else are we left with?

The M3 chip

If we should expect something in the field of computers this year, it should be products that will run on the M3 chip. Apple hasn't introduced it yet. If he had done so this year, he would probably have installed devices such as iMac, 13" MacBook Air and 13" MacBook Pro. The first mentioned, which still runs on the M1 chip, deserves the biggest upgrade, because Apple did not update it to the M2 chip for some reason. However, there is also speculation here that the M3 iMac could get a larger display.

iPads

There would still be some space here, perhaps for an iPad mini of the 7th generation. But releasing it separately doesn't make much sense. We already have speculations about an even bigger iPad Pro, which should have a 14" display and which could also get an M3 chip. But it does not seem very wise for the company to separate its release from the classic Pro series. It could also be updated with this chip.

AirPods

Since Apple updated the 2nd generation AirPods Pro in September with a USB-C connector for charging their box, we can't hope that something similar will happen with the classic series (i.e. AirPods 2nd and 3rd generation). But what headphones are in desperate need of an update are the AirPods Max. The company introduced them in December 2020, and since it updates its headphones once every three years, this is a hot candidate to see just this year. It is rather unlikely for Macs and iPads, and their updates can only be expected with the arrival of next year. So if we still see something from Apple before the end of 2023, and we don't just mean software updates, it will be the 2nd generation of AirPods Max.

Early 2024

So as it stands, while there's still some chance that the company will introduce new PCs and iPads with the M3 chip during October/November, it's more likely that it won't happen until early 2024. But it could be more than just new Macs and so also iPads, but we can also hope for the new iPhone SE. However, the main star will be something else - the start of sales of the Apple Vision Pro. After all, next year we could also expect the 2nd generation HomePod mini or AirTag.
