In just a week, Apple will be at the Cupertino Town Hall introduce new products. The curtain of the first event of the year, promoted by the company in the form of a discreet image of the iconic apple and the phrase "Let us loop you in", will open on March 21 at 18 pm our time. The new iPhone, the new iPad, accessories for the Apple Watch and maybe something else should be hidden behind it.

According to available information, the giant under the leadership of Tim Cook should present a new four-inch iPhone, a smaller version of the iPad Pro, bands for the Apple Watch smart watch, a new update of the iOS operating system, and it could also have some surprises up its sleeve.

The four-inch iPhone SE

Apple probably won't begrudge smaller iPhones after all. Despite the situation that the 4,7-inch and 5,5-inch Apple smartphones are reaping huge successes, sales of the iPhone 5s, which was introduced in 2013, are also still decent. A new four-inch iPhone is expected will bear the designation "SE", i.e. for the first time since the first generation without a number. Appearance wise is supposed to inspire the iPhone 5 model, but for he reaches for the latest equipment "six" iPhones.

The iPhone SE is supposed to get the same guts as Apple's latest phones, which means the A9 processor from the iPhone 6S. From the previous iPhone 6 model, the iPhone SE is supposed to have a front and rear camera, but it is not certain whether Apple is also betting on the latest technologies for this part.

An important part of the iPhone SE will also be Touch ID and the associated Apple Pay payment service. On the other hand, the smallest iPhone in the range will probably not have a 3D Touch display, which will remain exclusive to larger models.

The design of the product should be on the border between the 6/6S and 5/5S models. It is likely that the front will have a curved glass like the 6/6S, but the back of the phone should look similar to the 5/5S. Apple is thus apparently trying to combine the best of what it presented in recent generations. The design of the five iPhones was more popular with many than their successors.

The iPhone SE is expected it comes today in already traditional colors – space grey, silver, gold and rose gold. After all, the invitation also refers to the last two colors.

The question remains the price. In the United States, it is said that the iPhone SE could directly replace the iPhone 5S, which is still available and sells for $450. If Apple wanted to keep the price the same worldwide, the new four-inch iPhone could be sold here for 14, but we expect it to be more expensive.

The smaller iPad Pro

For a long time, it was expected that the new 9,7-inch iPad would come with the designation Air 3 and should thus expand the existing line, but Apple's plans are said to be different after all. Next Monday, Tim Cook and co. introduce the iPad Pro and slot this smaller tablet alongside the 12,9-inch iPad Pro introduced in the fall.

It is expected - also due to the name - that the smaller version of the iPad Pro will come with very similar equipment to the large model. Inside the new iPad Pro should be an A9X processor, up to 4 GB of RAM, four speakers for a better sound experience, 128 GB capacity and also a Smart Connector to support the keyboard and other accessories. The display should then deal with the Pencil.

If Apple does introduce a 9,7-inch iPad with such equipment, it will make sense with the Pro moniker. Then the question remains as to what the future of the current iPad Air will be, but we probably won't know that until next week. Such an iPad Pro would however could show the direction in which Apple intends to direct its portfolio.

New bands for Apple Watch

The first smart watch from Apple's workshop went on sale a year ago, but a new generation let's not wait yet. Apparently, Apple will have it ready in the fall at the earliest. At the upcoming keynote, the company is expected to unveil new bands, which should be the result of using new materials and collaborating with leading fashion brands.

For example, a black version of the Milanese Loop should be introduced to match the space gray watch, and there is talk of a whole new line of nylon straps.

In addition to them, the California company could also officially launch a smaller update of the watchOS 2.2 operating system, which should support the connection of multiple Watches to one iPhone and an improved version of the official maps.

Big update for iOS

The new version of watchOS 2.2 is also related to the big iOS 9.3 update, which Apple introduced already in January and subsequently started offering it in beta versions. iOS 9.3 deserved a lot of promotion due to the fact that it will bring quite significant news. These include the ability to create locked notes that can then be unlocked using Touch ID, and eye-friendly night mode based on display color change. It will also provide a better background for the education sector, another key topic of the update.

It is not yet clear whether iOS 9.3 will be released directly during next Monday, however, the increased intensity of the release of beta versions clearly indicates that the final version is approaching. So we will really see iOS 9.3 in the near future.

Apparently there won't be room for a Mac

According to the available indications, on Monday, March 21, it will be primarily an "iOS event", where the main focus will be on the iPhone, iPad and Watch. There is no talk of new computers, although some products in Apple's offer could certainly get a new version. In fact, news in all categories is expected this year, because Apple should deploy new Skylake processors from Intel.

However, it doesn't seem to have either the new MacBook Pros or the second generation of the 12-inch MacBook ready for now. The fate of the MacBook Air is uncertain, we saw the new iMacs in the fall and there is practically no talk about the Mac Pro. Apple will most likely keep information about the new version of OS X to the traditional developer conference in June.

Apple's presentation will take place on Monday, March 21, this time already at 18 p.m., because the United States switches to daylight saving time earlier than in Europe. On Jablíčkář, you can traditionally find complete news and a live transcript from the keynote, which will also be broadcast live by Apple itself.

We will watch the entire broadcast for you. You can watch it both on Apple's official website and here as a live transcript.
