In a new advertisement, Apple continues its campaign to convince customers that its new iPad Pros are the perfect successor or replacement for classic PCs. "What is a computer?" asks the new clip.

In the half-minute ad, the California-based company shows the iPad Pro as a full-fledged PC replacement, with a keyboard that "can easily be put away" and a screen that "you can touch and even type on."

Interestingly, throughout the clip, the iPad Pro is never mentioned by voice, only in the closing text message, which reads: "Imagine what your computer could do if your computer was an iPad Pro."

Apple's effort to position the iPad Pro in direct competition with current computers is evident and long-lasting. But how apt he remarked Andrew Cunningham on the web Ars Technica, "if you take the audio track (from this ad) and play it over the Surface 4 Pro video, you get a pretty good ad for a Microsoft product".

The tablet from Microsoft is so far closer to computers than the iPad Pro. It is increasingly considered a tablet, although Apple is constantly advancing its functionality and use so that it can be a real replacement for a PC. But it will still take some time to convince many users.
