Yesterday after seven o'clock in the evening, Apple released a new beta version for the upcoming iOS 11.1. This is beta number three and is currently only available to those with a developer account. During the night, the first information about what Apple added to the new beta appeared on the web. Server 9to5mac he already made a traditional short video about the news, so let's watch it.
One of the biggest (and definitely the most noticeable) innovations is the reworking of the 3D Touch activation animation. The animation is now smooth and Apple has managed to remove the annoying choppy transitions, they didn't look the best. In a direct comparison, the difference is clearly visible. Another practical change for the better is the additional debugging of Availability mode. In the current version of iOS, it was not possible to access the notification center if the user did not swipe over the top edge of the screen. In the newly redesigned Availability mode, everything works as it should. The notification center can therefore also be "pulled out" by moving from the upper half of the screen (see video). The last change is the return of haptic feedback to the lock screen. As soon as you enter the wrong password, the phone will let you know by vibrating. This feature has been gone for the past few versions and now it's finally back.
As it seems, the third beta is also a sign of fine-tuning and gradually fixing iOS 11. The upcoming big patch iOS 11.1 will thus serve mainly as one big patch for the new iOS 11, which came out in a state that we are not very used to at Apple. Hopefully, Apple will manage to eliminate all the shortcomings that are in the current live version.

and in this version, if I turn off BT and wifi in the drop-down menu, will it be turned off in the system as well?
Could someone advise me how to play a YouTube video in the background in iOS 11, i.e. only the audio part and do something else with it (read mail, message, etc.)? The "guaranteed" advice from the Internet that you just need to press the home button and then play in the control center does not work for me, it only plays music. Thanks in advance!
it worked… until google/youtube blocked it… to download their app… unfortunately apple is innocent in this
Which app? YouTube? I have here. But it doesn't work either.
delete the youtube app, fuck them, I keep playing it in safari, even if they try to ban it because of their ads and TV and so on....
when you just want to play music from youtube in safari, and not do anything with the phone
1. browse YouTube, play something
2. quickly press the phone's LOCK button twice (you need to do it quickly)
3. the music will remain playing
when you also want to do something with the phone (read email, etc.). You have to hack YouTube, or the instructions are more complicated (but it still works 100% on every phone I've had in my hand, so I believe it will also work on yours...
1. open safari, go to incognito/private mod. (you will arrive)
2. go to the youtube page, get a song
3. (please) hold the page refresh button for a few seconds until you see the "Request Desktop Site" option
4. the youtube page must load as it looks on the PC (in desktop mode)
5. start playback of the song in such a desktop YouTube, you will see the playback of the song but in full screen mode
6. (please) in full mode, tap with your finger to display the controls, in the upper right there is an X and minimization (also two arrows). Minimize the video.
7. after minimization, the song is still playing (no longer in fullscreen)... (please) now switch to some other TAB in private mode, e.g. even an empty page, just make sure that the song being played is not in the active TAB
8. if you don't already have the song playing in the active tab, you can press the home button or do anything even while playing YouTube in Safari.
if something doesn't work, write here, I'll write to you
iOS 11 boasts of multitasking and a stupid YouTube video in the background needs a harakiri like this.. thanks for the advice, the first one works, the second one too!
By the way, could I post your tutorial on my toastmaker.wordpress.com page? I have no profit from it. A lot of people ask me too, I couldn't find it anywhere on Google. With a link to you, topRQ.com, or some other signature?
of course you can… a link to the website would be nice from you…
once you try running it in the background, it always only takes a few seconds... but you're right, where are the times when it worked simply by pressing the home button
then you can do anything, lock the phone, unlock it, it will keep playing for hours, the lock screen will then look like in the attached picture... https manifest.googlevideo... etc.
