Around the world, information is growing again that Apple could really come up with its own Internet search engine. It would make sense for the company, as it would no longer be dependent on Google in this regard. But what would that mean for us?

It's a win-win. Google wants to be in Apple's products, so it pays Apple billions of dollars a year for its presence. But the court may see it a little differently, because this is currently being resolved. That is also why it is possible that Apple will definitely offer the user a wider selection of search engines, including his own. He would then catch up with advertising. Even if Apple is not aggressively pushing it yet, it is evident that it would simply have to within the search engine.

A comprehensive solution instead of a simple search engine?

Given Apple's capabilities, one would believe that its own search engine would use machine learning and artificial intelligence to provide you with results based on your data (emails, music, documents, various events, etc.). This, of course, without compromising privacy. Google uses your IP address and tracks social media behavior, etc., for which it also receives quite a bit of criticism. But iOS has fairly robust privacy and personal data protection features, so it's also safe to assume that it wouldn't share your data with advertisers or collect information about how you behave online.

Apple is gradually improving its search across the system through Spotlight, which in a sense also uses Siri. It displays results for contacts, files, and apps, but it also searches the web. It therefore offers results not only local (on the device) but also cloud-based. It also offers results depending on location or history. So, in a certain sense, it is already a search engine. So Apple would need to focus it more on the web. In conjunction with your Safari web browser, this could be a really powerful tool that goes beyond simple web searches. The user would have clear benefits in this, it would be worse with regulation and if Apple did not push such a function too much, which many authorities might not like.

It is clear from all this that if Apple only made a web search engine, it might not be enough. With such options as the company has, and with the tools it has, a rather comprehensive search system would be offered across everything, where it is actually possible to search - on the device, in the cloud, on the web and anywhere else.
