It was already announced in February that Clubhouse a copy submitted by Facebook is in active preparation. The new social network based on sound has been receiving a lot of attention lately. We now have a first look at what Facebook internally calls "Live Audio." Of course it's nothing another than what is Clubhouse, only in pale blue.

Developer Alessandro Paluzzi discovered how to enable this new feature in Facebook's mobile app, though it's still hidden from regular users. O screenshots he then shared with the magazine TechCrunch, which also described in detail how the function should actually work (at least in the currently developed version). Here, the audio feature has been integrated into Messenger rooms, a feature similar to Zoom. Here, users should find the option to start a live audio broadcast, i.e. create rooms similar to in Clubhouse.

Once a room is created, a user can invite other users to join the conversation via a Facebook post, Messenger direct message, or by sharing a public link. Profile pictures of users in this room are displayed using circular icons and will be split between moderators and users who are just listening and can check in to speak. Yes, it has it anyway Clubhouse. Paluzzi however, it mentions that this is only an unfinished interface that is not even functional at this point. So whether Live Audio will look like this in the final version is a question. But why shouldn't it? Facebook obviously wants to offer its users what it celebrates success with Clubhouse, so why not completely copy something that works and just throw it into your own interface?

Facebook or Twitter? Maybe someone else entirely

But Facebook is not alone when it comes to the hunt for an alternative to Clubhouse will bring first. Currently, Twitter definitely has the upper hand, which has its own Spaces is already testing with a wider audience. After all, he has already brought an update to his iOS application, which Spaces announces. In addition, he wants to make it available to everyone from April.

Clubhouse

How does the situation around the mysterious develop? Fireside, behind American entrepreneur, television personality, media owner and investor whose net worth is estimated at $4,3 billion according to Forbes and ranked #400 on the Forbes 177, Mark Cuban, not yet known (the news about the service was first brought by the magazine The Verge). But is there any point in chasing who will be the first? Definitely. Although there are two sides to the coin. A lot depends on the platform you use.

Clubhouse

Clubhouse crossed the line last month 8 million downloads. This number was provided exclusively by users of the Apple platform. If you are not aware of the situation, the app still has zero downloads on Android. This is because it is simply not available on this platform. And besides, it won't be "for a while". Co-founder and CEO of Clubhouse Paul Davison as part of Sunday's event Clubhouse Townhall he said, that even though they are hard at work on the Android app, the preparations will take a few more months.

Clubhouse week commencing

In the case of Facebook and Twitter, this means that whoever will be the first and whoever brings their alternative, and of course especially to the Android platform, can make a lot of money from it. In addition, both networks have a great advantage in that they already have the opposite Clubhouse a huge user base and doesn't have to deal with any premium invites (which Fireside will probably lose out on). Those who are already in the network will be able to enjoy the new form of voice communication. If Twitter or Facebook on Android are ahead of Clubhouse, they can take a lot from it. But it doesn't have to either.

Both networks are huge, old and somehow perceived. And then you have a new, small, predatory and premium player that everyone wants to try. Many users, as well as the author of this text, can clearly prefer this Clubhouse. This is simply because this network does not throw any ballast around in the form of friend statuses, interest groups, dating sites, bazaars and, last but not least, advertisements. In addition, its simple interface does not lead to anything unnecessary clicking through among the many offers. However, the whole fight is ongoing and it will be interesting to see how each of the participants deals with it. You can download Clubhouse free in the App Store. However, to fully use the network, you will need an invitation from someone who is already a user of the network.
