Developers from Realmac Software reported on their blog about a small, but very interesting and important change in their portfolio. Their new version of the perfect to-do list Clear+ will disappear from the App Store and the original version of Clear will get iPad support. In addition, the original Clear will soon be available for free download so that users who have downloaded Clear+ are not robbed of their honestly purchased software.
Realmac Software released Clear+ in October. At the time, it responded to Apple's new iOS 7 operating system with a slight redesign, and Clear+ also gained iPad support, which was a novelty compared to the original Clear version. However, it was a new version of the app for new money and the old app was pulled from the store. Of course, the original users did not like this very much.
The developers soon realized the unpopularity of their decision and under pressure returned the original Clear to the App Store. The latter immediately received an update for iOS 7 and differed from the new Clear+ in only one way - it did not support the large iPad display. It was a friendly and fair step, but also confusing for many. People didn't know whether to download Clear or Clear+, didn't know the difference between the apps, and were generally confused about the situation.
So now the developers have decided to fix the situation completely and have come up with the following solution. Clear+ will be pulled from the App Store, and the original version of the app, which has been updated to include iPad support, will remain in the store. So there will be only one, but full-fledged application. In addition, according to Realmac Software, this version of Clear will be offered twice in the near future completely free of charge so that Clear+ users do not lose their money.
The developers are aware that people who have never paid for it will get their app this way, but they consider it the only fair and viable solution. If you don't want to miss the Clear discount, just go to these pages Realmac Software to fill in your email and you will be informed about the discount in time.
This is a strange behavior to me. I paid for the iPhone version once, the iPad version a second time, and the OSX version a third time.
And now I will watch how people can easily download it for iPhone and iPad for free.
It seems to me like thinking: Nothing to our loyal users who support us all the time. But for those who would not pay a cent for our applications, we will give them for free. .. ?
Lumpy-wrapped shit. But I won't do anything, but next time I will think about what I pay these developers for.
Well, you don't choose that. You can always buy an app and in a few weeks it will either be heavily discounted or free. If you don't have a crystal ball and you can't tell from it, you don't get to choose. And it's not worth getting upset about it either. Although, of course, I don't approve of such behavior either.
This application is still cool :-D but such a Traktor Dj which costs 18 euros for an ipad and 5 euros for an iphone :-D I was pissed at the beginning why they didn't make a straight version for the iphone and didn't make the application universal and have them pay each time... I bought luckily, only this one for ipad ... and then the world is amazed ... the app store gave it to everyone for free .. that seems to me to be more discrimination than some 5 euros for an application :-D I don't count the version for OSX because it doesn't get cheaper (I mean Traktor)
But one thing must be admitted. Their business probably went downhill when they decided to take such a drastic step ... after all, for applications that have been on the top ranks for 5 years or more, I understand that they will make another new version for a fee ... but this was not a very reasonable step when the application has been here for 2 years??
Hergot man, I know this is offtopic, but the subject-predicate match is giving you a bit of trouble.
I was writing this at the bus stop :-D and in the process I was boarding ;-D so I didn't have time to check it
You simply have to buy = support what you like or what you need for work. This way you pretty much guarantee that the developers will enjoy it and that they will be in what you like, or you need to continue.
Otherwise you will never buy anything. In the end, everything is at a discount, and half of the things are free as a result.
I really don't mind in some cases that I bought at full price and then it got cheaper. It's worse when the application ends up being freemium and they cut off half of the functions and ask you to pay for them again. As it should be, Aliens Vs. Predator.
By the way, if it is not technically possible to grant that someone bought something in the store and is therefore entitled to something else, then it is Apple's fault that it does not support such a basic thing.
A typical example is that you buy something for iPad and iPhone and finally make it universal, so you have bought 3 applications. At the same time, it would be nice to say that if you have an iPad or iPhone application, then universal is free for everyone who bought one of the original versions.
With the same logic, another alternative can also work, that if you have an older version, you will get a better price as a paying customer (upgrade).
Can it sync with iOS Reminders yet?
synchronization via iCloud is supported, but syncing with Apple's Reminders is, I admit, an interesting thought :) but at the moment I think that Apple does not allow it
Of course he allows it. An example is Fantastical.
it shouldn't be a problem - on the contrary, most applications have supported this for a long time - for example: Calendars 5, Calvetica, Pocket Informant, 2Do, Schelandars and others
Thanks guys, I didn't know
