Ondrej Holzman Organizing your time using various applications is modern today, so the App Store is literally overflowing with all kinds of task managers. Several of the most successful brands are already established on the market, with which users often stop. However, an ambitious application now wants to disrupt their symbiosis Clear, which offers a revolutionary take on to-do applications.
You might think that you are not interested in such an app because you are happy with yours, but at least the demo video is worth watching because the concept created by the talented development team Impending looks more than interesting.
The lineup that worked on the Clear application indicates that it will be a quality job. The team members are Phill Ryu and David Lanham, who are behind the well-known discount server MacHeist or the Twitteriffic application, as well as Dan Counsell from Realmac Software, who is responsible for some of the best Mac applications.
To be honest, it's not very easy to describe the Clear app in words. Especially when we don't have the opportunity to try it ourselves yet and we only have to refer to the sample video. However, the main intention is clear – Clear comes with a completely innovative interface that is easy to use, works quickly and requires virtually no buttons to use. The best way to convince yourself of the functionality is to watch the already mentioned video.
Hm sorry, Things is a par level higher :) Stitky, Scheduled, Due, projects….and so on..
This is IMO a bit about something other than Things. Things is a sophisticated TDL manager, this is a productive tool to quickly increase productivity. With Things, one spends more time managing one's own time, Clear apparently does not want to trump Things with options, but with that very interface...
But somehow I don't understand why for the iPhone when there are quite useful reminders. And the sync works great. I don't have to drag other applications for everything.
I understand from the video that this is a nice little thing. If the interface is essential, it is undoubtedly nice - a simple To Do application can certainly be simpler and more functional than all the current ones. However, I am no longer interested in anything with less functionality than, for example, OmniFocus (respecting GTD principles). Certainly for a person who does not need to track and organize a large number of tasks, the mentioned application makes sense, but it is difficult for someone who wants to organize more. At the same time, we probably all have a lot of ideas, dreams and desires, and these are the ones that need to be nurtured and have something that works. I'm curious if Clear will just be a very good subset of something bigger like GTD or if I'll have a chance to appreciate it for more. Yeah, you still have to be on the heels of even the best.
I think it's premature to show something unfinished. What is actually new about it? Just control?
I think that everyone who has an iPhone should have something like this. I just pray that there will be an Android version as well (unfortunately they don't plan on it now). I think it's the most beautiful notes and lists app. Block is nice on iPhone, but this app works faster.
If, for example, you are going to make a big purchase for several thousand, then with this application you can check off everything you want to buy and you will certainly not forget anything. I really like this app.
