Adobe, the company behind popular tools such as Photoshop and After Effects, is suffering from a serious problem. The latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro can irreversibly destroy the speakers in the MacBook Pro.

Na discussion forum Adobe is starting to hear from more and more angry users who say Premiere Pro destroyed their MacBook Pro speakers. The error most often manifests itself when editing video audio settings. The damage is irreversible.

“I was using Adobe Premiere Pro 2019 and editing the background sound. Suddenly I heard an unpleasant and very loud sound that hurt my ears and then both speakers in my MacBook Pro stopped working." wrote one of the users.

The first reactions to this topic appeared already in November and continue until now. The error thus afflicts both the latest versions of Premiere Pro, i.e. 12.0.1 and 12.0.2. Adobe advised one of the users to turn off the microphone in Preferences –> Audio Hardware –> Default Input –> No Input. However, the problem persists for most users.

The repair of the damaged speakers will cost the unlucky ones affected by the problem a whopping 600 dollars (approximately 13 crowns). When replacing, Apple replaces not only the speakers, but also the keyboard, trackpad and battery, as the components are connected to each other.

It is not yet clear whether the error is with Adobe or Apple. Neither company has yet commented on the issue.
