Recently, you can often hear that Apple is not what it used to be. While in the last century he managed to revolutionize the computer market, or in 2007 completely change the perception of (smart) mobile phones, today we don't see many innovations from him. But this does not necessarily mean that this giant is no longer an innovator. A great proof of this is the arrival of Apple Silicon chips, which raised apple computers to a whole new level, and it is interesting to see where this project will go next.

A new way to control Apple Watch

In addition, Apple is constantly registering new and new patents that point to interesting and undoubtedly innovative ways of enriching Apple devices. A rather interesting publication has recently surfaced, according to which the Apple Watch could be controlled in the future by simply blowing on the device. In such a case, the apple watcher could, for example, wake up the watch by simply blowing on it, reacting to notifications and the like.

The patent specifically talks about the use of a sensor that could detect the already mentioned blowing. This sensor would then be placed outside the device, but in order to prevent incorrect reactions and therefore its non-functionality, it would have to be encapsulated. Specifically, it would be able to seamlessly detect changes in pressure at moments when air will flow over it. To ensure 100% functionality, the system would continue to communicate with the motion sensor to possibly detect whether the user is in motion or not. At the moment, of course, it is extremely difficult to estimate how the patent could be incorporated into the Apple Watch, or rather how it would work in the end. But one thing is certain - Apple is at least toying with a similar idea and it would definitely be interesting to see such progress.

The future of the Apple Watch

In the case of its watches, the Cupertino giant focuses primarily on the user's health and wellness, which, by the way, was previously confirmed by Tim Cook, the company's executive director. Therefore, the entire apple world is now impatiently waiting for the arrival of the Apple Watch Series 7. However, this model does not surprise in terms of health. Most often, they talk about "merely" changing the design and enlarging the watch case. Anyway, it could be more interesting next year.

An interesting concept depicting the blood sugar measurement of the expected Apple Watch Series 7:

If you are one of the Apple lovers and our regular readers, then you surely have not missed the information about the upcoming sensors for the future Apple Watch. As early as next year, the Cupertino giant could incorporate a sensor for measuring body temperature and a sensor for measuring blood pressure into the watch, thanks to which the product will move several steps forward again. However, the real revolution is yet to come. For a long time there has been talk of implementing a sensor for non-invasive blood glucose measurement, which would literally make the Apple Watch the perfect device for people with diabetes. Until now, they have to rely on invasive glucometers, which can read the appropriate values from a drop of blood. In addition, the necessary technology already exists and the sensor is now in the testing phase. Although no one can yet estimate whether the Apple Watch will one day be controlled by blowing, one thing is certain - big things await us.
