Since February 25, 2012, clients of Česká spořitelna - owners of iPhones - can manage and control their finances using a mobile phone, and for the first time in the Czech Republic, they can conveniently pay bills via it. In the second quarter of this year, Česká spořitelna will launch mobile contactless payments for iPhone. Clients pay simply in stores using their mobile card.

Through the SERVIS 24 Mobile Bank application, clients can scan and pay a slip, enter one-time orders, view transaction history or account balance, contact Česká spořitelna directly, find its nearest ATM or branch and find out its opening hours.
A unique function of the new application, which Česká spořitelna offers as the only one on the Czech market, is the scanning of slips. Thanks to it, clients can scan and pay slips very easily. After the "photograph" is taken, the application automatically converts the numerical data on the slip into a payment order, which the client only confirms.
The security of the mobile application is ensured with the help of several mutually complementary components - client number at the first login, password, securely encrypted communication between the mobile device and the bank, linking the device's unique serial number with the client's account, as well as setting daily and monthly limits for banking operations. The daily limit is set at 30 CZK and the monthly limit at 000 CZK. Transfers between own accounts at Česká spořitelna are unlimited.
"More than 20% of mobile phone users in the Czech Republic already have a smart phone. Mobile banking, thanks to which clients have the bank in their mobile phone, is one of the fastest developing areas, to which we are now responding and enriching it with the scanning of slips," said David Lorenc, director of direct banking at Česká spořitelna. More than 1,4 million clients use Česká spořitelna's direct banking, of which 1,2 million clients use SERVIS 24 internet banking.
The banking application SERVIS 24 Mobile Bank can be downloaded for free from the App Store or iTunes. For its full functionality, it is necessary to have the SERVIS 24 Internetbanking service activated. The application was supplied by the Cleverlance Enterprise Solution company and is intended for iPhone phones, but also for iPad tablets and iPod touch mobile players with the operating system iOS 4 and higher.
In the 2nd quarter of this year, Česká spořitelna will come up with another application for iPhone 4 and 4S, namely a mobile card enabling contactless payments in stores. It will be possible to pay by phone wherever contactless Visa cards are accepted. iPhone users simply attach Wireless Dynamics' iCarte protective bezel to their phone and download the companion Visa Mobile app for iCarte from the App Store. The iCarte contains an antenna and an integrated Secure Element, in which the mobile Visa card is safely stored. This "card" then works with an app downloaded from the App Store to allow payments to be made from the phone.
Once the Visa mobile card is activated, clients will be able to start shopping simply by launching the app and holding their iPhone device to any payment terminal in Europe that accepts contactless cards. It will also be possible to pay securely on the Internet via the phone. In the first phase, the service will be offered to a limited number of clients for testing.
Mobile payments for iPhone based on NFC technology represent the next step in development after the introduction of contactless card payments, which Česká spořitelna launched last October.

"by linking the device's unique serial number with the client's account" - that's the question for how long, when since iOS 5.0 Apple doesn't allow it to be used, even though it still works for who knows how long. The app is really interesting, pretty and functional, but there is no iPad version as the article says, it's just an iPhone app displayed in the middle of the iPad screen.
I agree, an app for the ipad would also be nice. You can control everything via servis24.cz, but the app is more practical ;)
I think it would be better to turn off comments for advertising messages :)
Something about the security of Service 24: When accessing via the web, security should be increased by sending an SMS to a registered phone. If the registered phone is the iPhone from which I am currently accessing servis24 via the web interface, this security is useless, because the SMS will be sent to the same device.
I'm actually surprised that people who have iPhones use the very outdated Czech Savings Bank. There are so many dynamic banks, and CS is one of the oldest there is.
The one who nowadays pays for the conduct of respect and transactions is simply MEGA OUT and the iPhone is MEGA IN. It just doesn't suit me.
Before you delete my post again, think about it. It's not off topic. It's just original and that can really bother someone.
