The US Patent and Trademark Office approves new patents every day from various companies, including Apple. It does not mean that we will ever actually see the given solution, but it shows a possible invention that may actually come at some point in the future. Here are some of the latest ones that future MacBooks can expect.

Keyboard

Apple and its butterfly keyboard had a certain potential, but it failed due to its failure rate. Its advantage was practically only in a lower lift and thus less space requirements. However, the company was forced to repair the defective pieces at its own expense, and then decided for itself that this was not the way to go. But he certainly does not throw Flint into the rye. This is evidenced by approved patent with the number 11,181,949.

Patent

It shows the MacBook in its open state with the keyboard protruding above its interior. Thanks to the moving parts, it should change its position when closing the lid so that it hides in the chassis without touching the keys of the closed display. Magnets should take care of this behavior, which would have priority in reducing the overall thickness of the MacBook.

Two displays

We already know this fairly well from competing companies, but even if it might seem that Apple rejects this idea, the opposite is actually true. You left it to patent the form of the device, which would offer displays on both of its internal surfaces. It would not be a foldable iPhone, but a MacBook (or theoretically also an iPad).

patent

This electronic device could thus offer different content on both of its display surfaces, one of which would also provide a virtual keyboard. At least in one case it would be a touch screen. Apple shows the advantage of such a solution, for example, in photo editing. It is true that ever since a similar device was introduced by the competition, Apple is generally expected to come up with something similar. However, he has so far resisted it, and the question is whether this is really just the protection of the described idea, or the device he is actually working on. Many would certainly welcome him.

Bio sensor

Future MacBooks could start dabbling in Apple Watch health tracking. According to the patent in fact, the future MacBook could get a biosensor with a glass upper layer in the area next to the Trackpad, which would be designed to measure various health indicators or the physiological state of the user. The measurement would take place through a system of micro-perforations that would be able to transmit light from the sensor's sensor. It would be possible to measure water content in the body, blood circulation, blood flow, heart rate, blood pressure, blood perfusion, blood oxygenation level, respiratory rate, etc.

patent

In another exemplary mode of operation, the sensor may be used only to detect the proximity of the user's hand to the device. In response to detecting the proximity of the user's hand to the biosensor, the device may be configured to change the operation, operational state of the device, or perform some other function.

Apple Pencil

This patent concerns the incorporation of an Apple Pencil accessory into the MacBook, which is placed in the space above the keyboard and is freely removable. In addition, when the stylus is in the holder, it can act as a mouse to move the cursor. What is unique here is that the holder and the Apple Pencil have a high-end lighting system built into them, thanks to which the pencil can replace the upper row of function keys. To some extent, this would replace the Touch Bar known from MacBook Pro. However, the presence of the Apple Pencil would naturally have to mean a touch screen, or at least a trackpad, through which input would be made with the Pencil.
