Of course, sometimes you're looking for something relaxing, where you don't have to stay long, in short, just to have fun. In my opinion, Digital Chocolate's Carnival Games Live fulfills these purposes perfectly.

The game consists of four 'mini-games', each capped off with its own boss at the end, which you reach after beating the previous seven levels (so there are eight levels each). In one mini-game you shoot ducks, in the second you play 'basketball' with monkeys, in the third you beat moles with sticks (a familiar principle from the board game Catch the Mole) and in the last one you play bowling, but differently than we are used to. The whole game is actually a bit different - let's take a look.

So I would start with the first mini-game - shooting ducks. The playing surface consists of four rows in which in both directions they arrive ducklings. Over time, their speed increases, there are more ducks that you must not hit, or perhaps pirate ducks appear that you have to shoot twice. At the bottom of the screen you can see the status of your stack. You recharge by grabbing it and moving it slide to unlock you move along the line.

In the second mini-game, your task is simple - throw basketballs into the basket by grabbing one and flicking your finger across the screen to throw it in the appropriate direction. It's easy at the beginning of the game, but then the monkey flying in the air will intercept your shots and the game will become more difficult. There will also be an insidious monkey who will play against you for a while, and his successful baskets will take away the points you need to advance to the next levels.

Even the third game is not complicated in principle. On the screen you have an area with eight holes from which moles climb. Tap on the moles to get the points needed to progress. Similar to ducklings, as the game progresses, moles climb out, which you are not allowed to tap or moles that you have to tap twice. Obstacles are combined in different ways - so for example a mole may appear that is first hidden, then it is revealed and you have to do it twice tap.

In the last minigame you play bowling. But it's actually not bowling at all, it's just this minigame called bowling. You have a track at your disposal along which, with a flick of your finger, you sizzle the balls into the holes opposite you, similar to basketball. Each hole is scored points, from ten to one hundred, according to difficulty.

Every game has a bonus here and there to make the game easier for you. For example, in ducklings it's a golden gun that lets you shoot any duck, in moles it's a golden hammer that lets you hit any mole.

The game does not lack trophies that you are evaluated with, there is also the option to connect the game to Facebook or play music from an iPod while playing. The multiplayer is definitely worth mentioning, which in my opinion could not have been solved better, but could have been conceived in a more fun way - so it didn't really appeal to me. In multiplayer, you switch iPhones and play minigames for points.

The game is accompanied by cheerful music and the graphics are very playful. Everything is colorful and I didn't come across anything sad anywhere, so I think Carnival Games Live is the perfect choice for a break.
