On the iPhone, Camera+ is one of the most popular photo applications, at least when it comes to taking photos, so the tap tap tap development team decided to bring Camera+ to the iPad as well. And the result is great.

After two years and nine million "pieces" sold, Camera+ comes from iPhone to iPad and tablet and offers the great experience we're used to with Camera+. The environment remains the same, but it's definitely not just an enlarged iPhone version. The developers have played around with the user interface, so it's a pleasure to work with Camera+ on the iPad.

The primary purpose of this application is of course taking photos, but I personally see a much better use in the iPad version than in an editing tool. Along with the new application, Lightbox (photo library) synchronization via iCloud was also introduced, which means that all the photos you take on the iPhone will automatically appear on the iPad and vice versa. Camera+ has very interesting editing tools, but so far you could only work with them on the relatively small iPhone display, where the result was often not so obvious. But now everything is different on the iPad.

The Camera+ editing environment is adapted to the larger display and is therefore much more convenient to edit, especially when you see the photos in a larger format. In addition, the iPad version has several new editing functions that cannot be found on the iPhone. With the help of a brush, individual effects can now be manually applied, so that you no longer have to apply them to the entire photo, and it is also possible to mix several of them together. There are also advanced adjustments such as white balance, brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness and red-eye removal.

However, we cannot neglect the photo shoot itself. I can't imagine using the iPad as a camera myself (apart from various snapshots, etc.), but for many users this is not a problem, and they will certainly welcome the added camera functions in Camera+, which offers options such as a timer, stabilizer or manual settings compared to the basic application focus and exposure.

In short, with Camera+, the iPad becomes a solid camera, but above all an excellent editing tool. For less than a euro (there is currently a discount), there is nothing to worry about, especially if you already use Camera+ on your iPhone.
