Camera+, which has become one of the most popular photography apps, from the developers of TapTapTap, was removed from the AppStore last week. The reason was said to be a two-week old update adding new functions. However, Apple didn't like them and pulled the app.

The update added hidden features to the app, after opening camplus://enablevolumesnap in mobile Safari, you could use the volume buttons on the side of the iPhone to take pictures. The developers added something to the application that Apple does not agree with in any way, so the consequence was clear. Download Camera+ from the AppStore.

Once again, it has been proven that Apple does not like hidden elements and it is only a matter of time before the application in question leaves the AppStore. So Camera+ is currently unavailable, hopefully not for much longer. However, if you have previously purchased the app, you can still use it. Potential buyers will have to wait until the wildly popular Camera+ returns to the AppStore.

It will be very interesting to see how this issue develops. TapTapTap is a well-known development team and Apple has even previously named Camera+ as “App Of The Week”. It generated $253 in sales in the first month of its launch and $000 in the second month.

Personally, I found the conflicting elements of the app to be very good and useful. I have to admit that I do not agree with this withdrawal at all and it seems like a great shame. However, Apple maintains firm policies that developers must respect, and its intransigence is generally well known.
