Over the past week issued developer studio Activision the expected game Call of Duty: Mobile for iOS and Android. As evidenced by the first numbers, the cult shooter has achieved unprecedented success on smartphone and tablet screens, becoming the most successful mobile game ever in terms of statistics in a single week. Over 100 million players downloaded the title within seven days, which is the most in the history of mobile platforms.

Call of Duty: Mobile thus performs significantly better than its direct competitors. Comparable titles such as Fornite and PUBG recorded 22,5 million and 28 million downloads respectively during the first week. Arguably the most popular to date, Mario Kart Tour generated 90 million downloads in its first week and earned Nintendo $12,7 million.

The statistics were published by an analytical company Tower Sensor, which, among other things, also offers a look at how the game performs on individual platforms. Specifically, the mobile Call of Duty has already recorded 56,9 million downloads on iOS, and 45,3 million on Android. The United States has the most downloads (17,3 million), followed by India (13,7 million) and Brazil (7,1 million).

Although the game is free, it offers a number of in-app purchases, through which players have already managed to spend millions of dollars. iOS leads in this regard as well, where the game generated $9,1 million for developers in seven days. Android users then spent $8,3 million through microtransactions. In comparison, Fortnite earned $2,3 million in its first week and PUBG only $600.

Call of Duty: Mobile is downloadable in App Store. It mainly attracts multiplayer, high-quality graphics, several game modes and also iconic maps, known from the PC versions of the game. It is compatible with iPhone 5s or later, or iPad Air/iPad mini 2 and later. Requires 1,5 GB of free storage space to install.
