If you act without explanation and give information taken out of context, it is not entirely appropriate. Antonio Garcia Martinez was fired from Apple after his employees wrote a petition against his tenure at the company, on the basis of which he was fired without delay. His book, in which he insults women, was responsible for everything. Garcia Martinez joined the Apple team in April, only to be fired in May, which we also told you about informed. In an interview on Twitter Spaces with tech journalists Kara Swisher and Casey Newton, Garcia Martinez characterized his firing as a "snap decision" by Apple management. He offered no further information regarding the move, citing a strict non-disclosure agreement.

In her book "Chaos Monkeys", in which she talks about her experience working in Silicon Valley, there are several comments that diminish the work of women in technology companies. And they're not exactly picky: “Most women in the Bay Area are weak and naïve, despite their claims of worldliness. They constantly flaunt their independence for their right to feminism, but the reality is that when the apocalypse comes, they'll be exactly the kind of useless cargo you'd trade for a box of shotgun shells or a can of diesel.”

Apple wants everyone to be equal. Not only men and women, but also all of LGBTQ + minorities.

García Martinez stated that the text was taken out of context because he had already explained it five years ago when the book was published. Coincidentally, this was also in an interview with Kara Swisher. The book was written in an imitative style Hunter S. Thompson, an American journalist and significant figure of the counterculture of the 60s. He added that the part in question was actually a "praise" for an unnamed woman. "In retrospect, I wouldn't have written it that way," added.

His career is not completely ruined

However, García Martinez pointed out one rather interesting fact, namely the acquisition of the Beats brand, which Apple bought for $3 billion and whose main face is Dr. Dre. During his musical career, he doesn't exactly avoid some insults, and he clearly gets through it. So he doesn't think it's entirely appropriate or fair to combine private life with work life. However, he joked in the interview that he suspected the book would destroy him. But he honestly thought it would be more from a technological point of view. García Martinez now wants to put his brief chapter on behalf of Apple behind him and devote himself fully to his ongoing projects. If you were wondering how his book is doing in sales, he said that there is considerable interest in it again.
