At Apple, Angela Ahrendts is very much responsible for the new face and changes that Apple Story has undergone worldwide. There was speculation after her departure, where they will head next. She didn't want to reveal anything herself. However, we now know that she serves as a member of the top board of Airbnb.

In fact, it's only been a month since Ahrendts left Apple. She worked here for five whole years and breathed new life into Apple Stores. Now, he will similarly seek to revive and establish a new direction for Airbnb.

Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky made no secret of having at least one woman on the board in 2018. He couldn't find suitable candidates for a long time until finally, in August of the same year, Ann Mather, who worked at Pixar and Disney, took the first place. Second place now belongs to Angela Ahrendts.

"Angela is known for making brands unafraid to dream big, and that's exactly what I want her to help establish at Airbnb," says Chesky.

During February, Angela recalled her time at Apple as follows:

"The last five years have been the most challenging, stimulating and satisfying of my entire career. Thanks to a joint team effort, Retail is stronger than ever and contributes even more to Apple. I believe the time is right to hand over the leadership to Deidre, one of the strongest leaders at Apple. I look forward to how the great team under her leadership will continue to change the world.”

Angela Ahrendts with extensive experience

Before Apple, Ahrendts worked as CEO at the famous fashion company Burberry. Other companies where she worked include Liz Claiborne and Donna Karan. Angela came to Apple at a time when Cupertino was trying out new luxury products like the Apple Watch Gold Edition with 18-carat gold, priced at $10.

Now her place has been taken over by longtime colleague Deirdre O'Brien, who not only takes care of retail sales, but also HR.
