Even before Apple launched the iPhone 14, there was speculation about how expensive they would be. To the delight of American customers, this did not happen, and the prices of the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro copied those of the previous generations (with the exception of the iPhone 14 Plus, of course). But it was different with us. Now rumors are spreading again that the new iPhones will go up in price. This is clearly bad news for us.

According to a report published in the network Weibo Apple plans to raise the price of the iPhone 15 Pro series to further widen the gap between these professional models and the iPhone 15 Plus. Analyst Jeff Pu also supports this view, as he states in a report sent to investors. Even before the launch of the iPhone 14 Pro predicted sources, such as Ming-Chi Kuo, increased prices by about $100. That meant the iPhone 14 Pro should have a starting price of $1 and the iPhone 099 Pro Max $14. But Apple raised prices only in non-American markets, including here.

As a result, the existing iPhone 13 and 12 generations have kept their price tag, and the iPhone 14 series has risen above them. The price differences were around three thousand CZK. If Apple really made the iPhone 15 Pro more expensive in the US this year, it would mean that they would logically become more expensive here as well. It could therefore be assumed that the new generations would again cost about 3 CZK more than what we can currently get the iPhone 000 Pro for. At the same time, we would not see any discounting of previous generations either.

Apple buys components ahead of time, so last year it didn't have to raise prices in the domestic market precisely because it still had them at the old prices. But if he bought this year's components in a more turbulent time, it is really possible that this will affect the final price of the device. Everything is due to inflation and the geopolitical situation.

However, it is interesting that this information only mentions the iPhone 15 Pro (Max) and not the basic series, despite information about its improvements both in the field of cameras and that it should also receive a Dynamic Island. She even appeared message that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus could end up being cheaper than the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. In theory, Apple could lower those prices slightly and raise the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro slightly to help better diversify its portfolio.

The first increase in price since the iPhone X

It's not our case, where prices move significantly more often here than in the US, but if the price of the upcoming series is increased, it will be the first time for an American Apple customer since the company introduced the iPhone X. That one went for 999 dollars, a year later the company introduced the iPhone XS Max at a price of $1. These prices are copied by the Pro models to this day.

After all, in the American market, Apple generally does not raise prices too much. Since the iPhone 4S, it has kept the base price at $649, which was broken only by the iPhone 8 version, which cost $699. In the case of the Plus models, it was a starting price of $749, which only lasted for the iPhone 6S Pus, the iPhone 7 Plus cost $769 and the 8 Plus $799.
