Michal Ždanský If any type of application is represented in the App Store really a lot, then it is task lists and GTD tools. However, few of them are available on both platforms (iOS and OS X) while offering great cloud sync. It is currently among the most popular OmniFocus, Things or available for free Sleep as an Droid, even Apple offers its solution - Reminders. However, he could soon emerge as the very promising player he is 2Do.
2Do is one of the most beautiful and at the same time the most versatile task managers in the App Store. It can work not only with normal tasks, but also offers the creation of projects and tick lists. All tasks are categorized and various attributes can be assigned to them, such as tags, notes, reminder times or actions (call, text, ...), there are also geolocation reminders. One of the most prominent functions is Smart Lists, which can be created based on a search query, and you can have specific categories for tasks in the next three days, a list of projects, etc.
The biggest weakness of 2Do was precisely the absence of a Mac application that would also offer cloud synchronization with the iOS application (2Do uses iCloud, Dropbox or Toodledo for synchronization between devices). The developers have been working on it for the past year and it should appear in the Mac App Store soon. The Mac version will offer the same options as the iOS application, but it will be fully adapted to OS X standards, including a number of keyboard shortcuts, and a very interesting function will be Quick Look (taken from the Finder), where you can get a detailed overview of the given task by pressing the space bar.
But the greatest domain of the application is its universality, it can function as a simple task list or an advanced GTD tool, yet the control of the application remains very intuitive and everything is wrapped in a beautiful graphic jacket. I personally had the opportunity to work with the application as a beta tester for less than two months, during which time it replaced me without any problems Things and above all, it brought me a mix of GTD tools with classic reminders, thanks to which I can organize time and projects in the environment of a single application.
The developers have not yet announced the price at which 2Do for Mac will be sold, but it can be assumed that it will be lower than the competing Things. The universal iOS application is available for download in the App Store for 7,99 €.
Like nice, but is there any GTD (I mean real GTD not some comments and stuff) that is cross platform (iOS, MAC, WIN)? and does it sync seamlessly, regardless of any service?
maybe we were looking wrong, but I haven't found one yet.
Oh, and I'm not counting web projects, they are no longer usable in principle...
Because a lot of people (like me) still have to work on Windows at work, have MACs at home and use iPhones and iPads…

and may I ask the "definition of a true gtd" application? I read enough books tried everything from Things, Omnifocus, Wunderlist and many others. everyone has something in them. I would be quite interested. App comments are good, but they are somehow missing one issue :-) TODAY :-)

Unfortunately, it's only for MAC and iOS, and even if it does sync, it's not perfect, but it's better than nothing. I would like push sync in the background and not after I open Omnifocus.

well, as I wrote, I went through everything and probably the best cloud synchronization is my notebook :-) now I'm trying to use wunderlist, but unfortunately there is a bug on ML that after a while starts to exploit one processor core at 100%, they are working on it and hopefully it will be fixed by the end of the year Winderlist 2 - "we polished winderlist...." Things are great, but after I bought the version for iPhone, iPad and waited 2 years for synchronization, I left it, also because of the completely inadequate price for the desktop version.
omnifocus seems to me to be too crazy, and the tasks for a predetermined time usually completely ruined my plans.
You might just like 2Do. We'll see what price tag the developers put on it…

Honestly, I do not dare to make such a definition. They used to be the definition of Things for me. As far as they are concerned, 2Do can at least do the same. The application is very customizable. I'll write about it in a review when 2Do is released on Mac.

But I have an iPad and I use it, unfortunately/thankfully it's lying around when I'm at work in front of the keyboard and if I'm away from the PC, I have an iPhone. But having an application directly in windows would be easier.

I am solving the same problem (multi-platform GTD app) and the only thing I found so far for PC, android, iOS and OSX was wunderlist.
Synchronization takes place through their own server and my experience is that it works without problems. The application can also be accessed directly via their website. Of course, it lacks a lot to be a perfect GTD app, but as said here, which app does not lack something? :)
e.g. 2DO just lacks PC to completely cover the most common platforms.
I use 2Do on both an iPhone and an iPad, and I synchronize via Toodledo, which has a very good web interface, through which I edit tasks on a Mac or PC directly in the browser. It's perfect for me...however, I'm looking forward to 2Do for Mac ;-)

Unfortunately, I need an app that can run on OS X, iOS and the web :-/ Web because I'm on Linux at work... The only one right now is Reminders (as far as I know) and that's pretty hell :-( Don't you know something better? App what I don't want them crawled out of web apps (RTM, Doit.im, ...), they are unusable...
Try Wunderlist. It wasn't enough for me personally and I switched to Things, but you might like it :)
