Glasses for augmented reality can greatly support Apple's efforts to expand this technology. Apple would thus follow the example of Google and head into another area of products.

If you think back to Apple's last few Keynotes, Augmented Reality (AR) technology has been mentioned every time. Thanks to her, the Lego figures came to life and the game with blocks took on a completely different dimension. If you doubt the replacement of traditional children's toys with virtual ones, know that AR has many more uses, for example in sports or in the field of medicine.

Although Apple has so far presented augmented reality mainly with an iPad or iPhone in hand, it would certainly find its use in more futuristic products. The area that is literally in front of our eyes is directly encouraged - glasses. The technology giant Google has already tried something similar, however, his Glass was not very successful. Partly also because Google failed to make sense of them and explain why they are trying a new product category.

However, Apple would not have to look too hard for a similar meaning. A logical connection of augmented reality and another gadget from the wearables category would be enough. Cupertino engineers also know wearables. Apple Watch is very successful and AirPods are clear candidates among wireless headphones.

In addition, the well-known and successful analyst Ming-Chi Kuo estimates, that Apple will really get into glasses. Ku's words cannot be completely overlooked, as he was among a small group of analysts who accurately predicted the arrival of three iPhone models with Face ID. And it wasn't the first time his predictions came true.

Augmented reality glasses define a new product category

The vision of augmented reality glasses then takes on very clear outlines. The new product could be paired with an iPhone, similar to the Apple Watch, mainly due to the use of all the chips available to the smartphone. Also, this connection would save the battery capacity of the glasses. After all, watches also rely on the same connection, because their endurance when the LTE module is switched on is calculated on mere units of hours.

The glasses would also eliminate the need to constantly hold any device in your hand. For example, navigation through maps would thus become much more natural, as the elements would be displayed directly on the glass of the glasses. And progress in the field of displays will also make it possible to produce different types of glasses, or self-tinting variants, such as are already available today for classic prescription glasses.

Whether everything turns out according to current expectations remains to be seen. However, glasses for augmented reality would logically support Apple's current efforts to spread this technology to the widest possible range of people and give it practical use.
