The Points System is a very handy application for all drivers in the Czech Republic who want to have an overview of how their "points register" is doing and also how many points they will receive, or what fines they will receive for individual offences.

The Points System application contains a clear catalog of the points system and relevant fines, the possibility of recording and managing your own offences, calculating fines for excessive speed or blood alcohol, and a list of places where you can get a statement of points or training on safe driving.

After starting, the first thing that looks out at you is a list of offenses divided into the categories of speed, parking, technical condition and documents, privileges, offenses while driving, alcohol and addictive substances, and others. When you open the individual categories (in which filters can be used for a faster search), individual offenses are already displayed with a large number indicating how many points will be deducted for them, as well as information about the block and administrative fine.

You can also open the offenses themselves, where, in addition to the already mentioned point deduction and fines, you will also learn about a possible ban on activity, you can open the full text of the given law in your internet browser (at 12bodu.cz) and last but not least, there is a description of the offense.

Individual offenses go with the help of a button + in the upper right, add directly to your own offenses, which brings us to the next function of the Point System application. This enables the administration of one's own committed offences. For each such record, you set the date you received a block/administrative fine and save it. If you want to brag about your transgressions, you can share the offense on Facebook. The application then adds up your points and paid fines, so you have a quick overview of your "points account".

The speed and alcohol calculator is also handy. For speed, you enter whether you were driving in the village or outside it, you enter the permitted speed and your measured speed, after which the Points System will calculate how many points speeding will cost you, how much you can be fined and under what conditions you can be banned from operating. The alcohol calculator works on the same principle, but you choose whether the incident was assessed as a misdemeanor or a felony. Then you just enter the measured per thousand and the Points System will calculate everything.

The application will also help you if you want to get a statement of points from your driver account and you are looking for the nearest place where it is possible. The Point System can also set up navigation to the given location through the Maps application. The same applies to the overview of safe driving training centers for the deduction of points, where web addresses, telephone numbers and e-mails are also available.

The Point System application is a great helper for a simple overview of possible offenses and point penalties. However, there is only one thing that bothers me personally – the inability to change the language directly in the application. The Point System is based on the basic language of the phone, and if I have English set on my iPhone, then the Point System is also in English.
