Finally the end of the week has come and there is nothing left to say other than that it has been extremely hectic and more news has happened during this time than one would expect. Apart from the turbulent moods in the United States and the galaxy of space flights, the battle was also raging on another front, namely between the media giants and the politicians themselves. It is the private companies that are in the lead so far, and with the arrival of the Democrats, it cannot be expected that the score will change in any way. Fortunately, that's not all, and at the end we received some positive news, among others, for example, the milestone of the popular rover on Mars, which exceeded 3000 days in extreme weather. And we mustn't forget about Blue Origin, which is trying to catch up with SpaceX and has successfully tested a crew module.

Joe Biden kicks off his term with a new Twitter account. He wants to differentiate himself significantly from Trump

When it comes to the United States, most of our humanity is probably scratching their heads and scratching the back of their necks nervously. No wonder, the situation is escalating, and after the recent attack on the Capitol, everyone, including the Republicans, has finally run out of patience. Almost all the tech giants showed Trump the door, blocked his accounts, and the vast majority of party politicians turned their backs on the former US president. After all, Donald Trump's term ends in a few days, and a significant percentage of his associates do not want to be associated with him at all after this date. However, it should be noted that even this step had positive consequences.

Thanks to the blocking of the official account, the newly elected Democratic President Joe Biden finally got an opportunity, who decided to use the opportunity and set up an official Twitter account @PresElectBiden, where he will publish not only his thoughts, but also plans for the future and resolutions from various meetings. Either way, it's fairly safe to expect that, unlike Donald Trump, Biden won't be venting his deepest complexes on Twitter and trying to start wars using the social platform. So let's hope that the Democrats will use this media space wisely and not allow themselves to be blocked, as the former American president managed to do.

NASA's Curiosity rover has crossed a milestone. He has already lasted over 3000 days on Mars

Spaceflight is one thing, but the ability to continue to explore the planet, actively monitor it, and ideally prepare the ground for the next visit is another. And it is precisely this mentioned phase that NASA has been striving for for a long time, especially in the case of the Red Planet, which is a frequent topic among space enthusiasts and scientists. For this reason too, continuous research needs to be carried out, which is helped by the robotic rover Curiosity. You probably remember the ceremonial mission to Mars, where Curiosity was supposed to operate for many years, collect samples and, above all, actively map the surface of the planet. However, quite a few years have passed since then, and as it seems, the rover is far from finishing its shift.

The robotic rover is in excellent condition so far, and although it has survived the relatively inhospitable and harsh environment of Mars for 3000 long days, it is still energetic and trying to make the most of every day. Just look at the recent panoramic videos and photos that Curiosity managed to create. The scientists then made a short montage of them and clearly proved that Curiosity simply has a talent for photography. Either way, the rover's work on Mars is far from over. Right now, the robot went to another crater where water was supposed to have evaporated three billion years ago. We can only hope that Curiosity will last at least another 3000 days.

Blue Origin is celebrating great success. The company tested the crew module

We don't talk much about the space company Blue Origin, which is owned, among other things, by Jeff Bezos, the same tycoon who also has Amazon under his thumb. It's probably not because she doesn't regularly brag about her successes, take tests or embark on new experiments. On the contrary, Blue Origin is more active than ever. However, the problem is that they try not to publicize things too much and keep most of the secrets to themselves. It also follows from this that, unlike SpaceX or NASA, the company does not have as much attention and is usually delayed precisely by its bigger juices.

Fortunately, the company broke the ice of silence after a long time and boasted an unprecedented milestone and success. She managed to successfully test the crew module, which should serve not only to seat the astronauts and as their primary movement center, but the special capsule will also offer relatively high-tech equipment, thanks to which the crew will be able to actively control the SN-14 rocket and strive for autonomous landing. It is this aspect that is supposed to minimize the intervention of the crew and make the entire module one large, independent entity that will simply serve as a transport capsule for a few daredevils.
