iPhone is designed to protect your data and privacy. Built-in security features help prevent anyone but you from accessing your iPhone and iCloud data. Accessing devices and services is one thing, monitoring your behavior on the site and in apps is another. Advertisements are provided not only by third-party applications, but also by Apple.

You can allow or deny tracking access to third-party developer apps and web services. This gives you control over what data they access about you. But Apple also wants to make money from advertising. Its ads can be displayed in the Actions and Apple News applications, but also across the App Store. However, the company states that you have full control over them.

Third-party app tracking control:

First, Apple apps cannot access the data of any other apps. They thus draw on the data they themselves collect as part of your behavior in them. For this, the search and download history is used in the case of the App Store, while in Apple News and Actions advertising is based on what you read and watch in them. However, the data here is not distributed outside the applications. Apple also states that the collected data is not associated with your person and your Apple ID but with a random identifier.

Apple advertising and its settings

To review the information Apple uses to select ads, go to Settings -> Privacy and scroll all the way down here where the menu is Apple ad, which you click on. When you select an offer here View ad targeting information so you'll see the information the company uses to show you more relevant ads in said titles.

If you want, you can turn personal ads on or off here with the slider. But keep in mind that this is the same situation as with app tracking transparency. So the ad will be displayed all the time, and even in terms of its quantity, it will just not be relevant to you. If you want to learn even more about the whole issue, Apple also offers clickable information up here About Apple advertising and privacy, which you can study in detail.
