You can hear the term revolutionary games quite often from passionate fans. However, few games deserve such a title. If the same can be said for Before Your Eyes from GoodbyeWorld Games, we'll leave that up to you. However, their latest act manages to conjure astonished expressions thanks to its unique mechanics. You have to play the entire game in front of the webcam, because certain parts of it are controlled simply by blinking.

The game puts you in the role of the recently deceased Benjamin Brynn. After his death, he meets a dog-like figure, a ferryman, who confronts him with an important task. Benjamin has to relive the crucial moments of his life. And what good is it to the already dead protagonist? A condensed overview of his life will be used to evaluate him by a powerful being who calls himself the Gatekeeper. You will thus experience with your own eyes the moments by which Ben himself defines his earthly life.

In Ben's past, he controls the passage of time by blinking. The faster you blink, the faster time passes. You decide how long you spend in the individual stages of his life. At the same time, the metronome at the bottom of the screen can show you the correct rhythm. During the entire trip to the past, you will use not only your eyes, but also more classic controls in several great minigames. In addition to unique mechanics, Before Your Eyes mainly offers a sensitive story with a lot of likeable characters. So if you're in the mood for a unique narrative experience, this game will definitely not disappoint you.
