Apple is expected to release a trio of iPhones this fall. One of them will probably be an upgraded iPhone X, the second iPhone X Plus, and the third model should be a more affordable version of the iPhone. Newer Apple phones have not had a 3,5mm headphone jack for some time. Apple tried to calm the general panic that arose when the first model without this connector - the iPhone 7 - was presented, among other things, by including a reduction from a 3,5 mm jack to Lightning. But that may be over soon.

Various analysts have already come up with predictions about the missing adapter for new models several times. Now they have even more reason for these assumptions. That reason is the quarterly report from Cirrus Logic, which is a supplier of Apple. It supplies audio hardware for products such as the iPhone. According to Matthew D. Ramsay, an analyst at Cowen, Cirrus Logic's quarterly earnings report provides a clue about Apple's plans for this fall.

In his note to investors, Ramsay writes that Cirrus Logic's financial results -- namely, earnings information -- "confirm that Apple will not be adding a headphone jack to its latest iPhone models." According to Ramsay, the reduction will not be missing for previously released models. Blayne Curtis, an analyst at Barclays, came to a similar conclusion in April this year.

Apple got rid of the headphone jack in its smartphones in 2016. Listening to audio is possible through the Lightning port, the packaging of the new models is equipped not only with headphones with a Lightning end, but also with the aforementioned reduction. However, the absence of a reduction in the packaging of new iPhones does not mean that Apple will stop supplying this accessory completely - the adapter is sold separately on the official Apple website for 279 crowns.
