On November 23, a spectacular auction took place in Sotheby's auction house under the auspices of the (RED) brand. Over forty products were auctioned, which together raised almost 13 million dollars (about 262 million crowns). The offer included a red Mac Pro and gold EarPods…

However, if you were expecting an overall winner, i.e. a product that was auctioned for the highest amount, just from the apple category, you would be wrong. The auction network was dominated by a piano designed by an American-German manufacturer Steinway & Sons. Its estimated price was between 150 thousand and 200 thousand dollars, it finally ended at almost two million US dollars.

In second place was one of the most anticipated auction items - special edition the Leica camera they created Jony Ive and Marc Newson. The price was estimated at half to three-quarters of a million dollars, and in the end it rose to to $1.

Only one object has already climbed over one million, perhaps a little surprisingly at first glance, a simple table, which, however, adds value to the fact that it was created by Apple designer Jony Ive himself in collaboration with his colleague Marc Newson. The maximum estimated price of half a million dollars was exceeded more than three times.

He finished just short of the magic seven-digit number red Mac Pro. Its value has been exceeded in a truly fundamental way. Out of the originally estimated $60, the happy new owner finally paid for it 997 thousand.

When it comes to beating the odds, the gold EarPods didn't do it either. They eventually jumped from 20-25 thousand to almost half a million dollars.
