Today I have something special, something that didn't really appeal to me from the pictures, but surprised me all the more. Today I present to you a game that is developed by the Czech development team Rake in Grass. Today I present to you probably the best puzzle game on the Appstore. Today I have the iPhone game Achibald's Adventures.

Am I exaggerating or not? You have to judge that for yourself. The iPhone game Archibald's Adventures is really a completely Czech game, which is extra completely in Czech. The story of the game is simple. You are a skateboarder named Archibald, and when Archibald wants to get out in front of his friends, he falls into a pipe near the mad professor's house and you end up in his mansion. At that time, however, he was doing some experiments that got out of hand. Plus, the computer has locked them in the house, and Archibald now has to go through the entire house, which adds up to a whopping 114 levels.

But do not be afraid (or rejoice), the number is high, but the levels are relatively short and you will pass at least the first 30 very quickly. These first levels are designed so that the game does not overwhelm you with all the control options, but on the contrary, you gradually learn them. During the game you meet computers that advise you what to do and how to do it. At least in the beginning.

How does Archibald's Adventure on the iPhone actually play? You use the directional arrows to control Archibald's movement (or alternatively you can control the game by touching the screen away from the center), which moves on a skateboard and you try to get him through all the obstacles to the open door. To do this, it will sometimes be necessary to jump, move, squeeze or break something.

While Archibald can jump one square more or less from the spot (he's an experienced skateboarder), he has to really get going with his skateboard for a longer stretch. Controls are nothing to worry about, the game is designed in such a way that in the first two chapters (32 levels) you will learn everything you will need on your adventure, and the controls will get under your skin so well.

But that doesn't mean that the game won't surprise you after the first chapters. Rather the opposite. This is why you will last so long with Archibald's Adventures, because you will be interested in what awaits you next. While in the first round you just jump over the crates, in the next rounds you will be able to move them with the help of a remote-controlled bubble, or later break them with the help of a special robotic vehicle or fly around them on a flying device.

Thanks to gradually learning the controls and thanks to the fact that the game is completely in Czech, I can play the game recommended also for younger players. Later in the game, however, you will come across levels where you really need to put your head in order to figure out how to progress further. These are not tasks that would be unsolvable, but your brain gets really sweaty from time to time.

The level design is really on the level, the character is perfectly animated and overall, the game will have a really pleasant effect on you. The game is complemented by a suitably chosen musical background. But Archibald's Adventures can sometimes turn you around. There is nothing worse when you know what you want to do, but simply cannot do it. Sometimes you just want to think about it logical plots, but also to have slightly skilled hands so that one can do exactly what one wants.

Overall, I can really recommend Archibald's Adventures, it's definitely an excellent iPhone game. You can buy the iPhone game on the Appstore for $4.99 and to make your decision (buy/not buy) easier, Rake in Grass also offers Lite version, which is free and offers a great 32 levels. If you are interested, you can try demo version of the game even on your Mac or Windows.
