The App Store offers over 200 applications and new ones are constantly being added. Therefore, it is almost impossible to keep track of all of them. You may come across some by accident, others will alert you to messages on the Internet or social networks, but there are still many that you will completely miss. And one way to capture as many of them as possible is with AppShopper. It now comes in a version for iPhone and iPad.
Many of you will be familiar with AppShopper.com, where everything ran as a web service. But if you don't know what it is, we'll explain. AppShopper helps you find new apps and especially those that have been updated or discounted. So you have all the discounts together at once and you don't have to worry if you accidentally missed something.
You'll usually find apps on AppShopper that you'd normally miss when browsing the App Store. Because, for example, you will come across a game or application whose discount lasts only one day, without warning, just by chance. We have already talked enough about the function of the service itself, let's finally take a closer look at the application itself, which the developers have prepared for us. And that it is more pleasant than on the web interface.
After each launch, the app will offer you a list of the most popular apps. You can then sort them by device (iPhone, iPad), price (paid, free) or event type (update, discount, new). So you immediately have an overview of what is new or interesting on the App Store.
In the next tab of the bottom panel, we can find almost the same offer, but it is no longer a list of popular applications, but a list of new creations that are fresh in the store. And again we can sort them into more specific areas of interest.
And another strong point of AppShopper? You can create your own account on the website and manage your applications. On the one hand, those that you own and on the other hand, also those applications that you would like, but maybe because of the price you are not getting them for now. In short, you can create a so-called Wish List and then just check if your "dream application" is discounted. You can also track the changes (price, update) in the applications you already have on your phone.
When you then select an application in AppShopper and want to buy it, nothing is easier. The interface of the application is strikingly similar to the App Store, and when you click on Buy, you are immediately transferred directly to the Apple store and you can make purchases.
App Store - AppShopper (free)
I would also add a couple of quite important things:
– You can set the sending of email notifications in your profile, so you will find out about discounts immediately and you do not have to turn on Push Notifications, as with other similar "trackers of changes" (BargainBin, PandoraBox,...)
– Both the list of your apps and your WishList have a public address, so you can share them with your friends (for example, show newbies which essential apps they should get – based on your star rating of apps).
– Currently only for Mac (but coming soon for Win as well), AppShopper offers a small utility for free download that will go through your apps in iTunes and upload them to your list of apps on AppShopper. So then all you have to do is update and possibly update.
Great, guys! (Do you even have a girl among you, so that I may not forget her. Or, like almost everywhere else, do the men devote themselves to inventing, improving and hunting, and the women chew hides and keep the fire going?) I consider the number of your tweets important and useful for me. And this is an extremely useful application that I learned about thanks to you. Good job! And the Twitter environment is perfect for such messages. I like the frequency and selection of messages on it. Thanks!
Great app, I use it daily... :) I also like the interesting App History feature, which shows where the app got cheaper, when it got more expensive, etc.
I use a similar application "appminer" and it is also very cool and available for free ... it contains several categories for sorting applications into new ones .. popular ... best rated ... you can also monitor your favorite applications
It bothers me that it shows me an application that is discounted in the US appstore and the one in the CZ appstore is not discounted and it is not possible to filter it out.
Specifically SoundHound….
Exactly... It's great, I was excited that they made the nfs shift cheaper, but only on the US store... The same recently with the soundhound... :(
