Not long after the introduction of the new iPhone Xs, Xs Max and Xr a video showing the new phone's impressive camera features appeared on Apple's official YouTube channel. However, it's quite different from the traditional post-keynote videos we've been used to.

“First look at amazing video shot on the new iPhone Xs - the highest quality video shot on a smartphone. Water, fire, metal and light were used to create these captivating scenes using 4K, slow motion and time lapse. Shot on iPhone by Donghoon J. and Sean S.”

In a video lasting 1 minute and 44 seconds, Apple shows how it was possible to use the iPhone Xs to record several chemical experiments or create an impressive 3D effect. The video opens with a slow-motion recording of an experiment with water, sound and light, in which sound vibrations create spectacular shapes. Immediately after, it continues with an experiment with soap, water and corn syrup filmed in 4K at 60 fps. The following is a time-lapse of an experiment with a solution of silver nitrate and copper embedded in it, during which silver crystals are formed. After two more short attempts, the video closes with a very successful and fascinating simulation of outer space.

The video is interesting not only because of the breathtaking shots the new phone can create, but also because of the look behind the scenes, where you can see more of the filming and preparation of the recorded chemical experiments. It probably doesn't even need to be emphasized how breathtaking the footage shot by the new iPhone is.
