Apple released two new videos over the weekend that address the importance of the company's technology for people with special needs. As has been widely reported in the media in recent days, April is Autism Awareness Month and this is reflected in the new videos titled "Dillan's Voice" and "Dillan's Journey". They show how Apple products help Dillan, an autistic teenager, in his daily life.

Dillan is autistic and unable to communicate through verbal communication. But his mind is completely alert and, as can be seen in the video "Dillan's voice", thanks to the iPad combined with special applications, Dillan can express his thoughts.

The boy has been using the iPad to communicate with his surroundings for three years, and the Apple tablet has quickly become an important part of his daily life. It is only thanks to him that he communicates without problems with his teachers, parents, friends and other loved ones.

The second video, "Dillan's Journey," features statements from Dillan's mother and his therapist that describe the significant impact technology has had on the boy's life. This is a video of a slightly more "documentary" nature, but of course the emphasis on emotions, which is so typical for Apple ads, is not missing.

The videos are just more proof that Apple takes great care to make its devices accessible to people with disabilities. The company has been reaping successes for a long time, for example, with the VoiceOver function, which helps visually impaired users. Tools for autistic people are therefore not exactly a surprising expansion of the company's portfolio, which under Tim Cook is obsessively attentive to its social importance.

Dillan's story and Autism Awareness Month have come a long way to the main Apple.com page.
