An announcement recently appeared on Apple's website that the free trial period for Apple Music has been reduced from the original three months to just one. Apple offers a free trial period to newly registered users interested in a subscription to the Apple Music streaming service. "Try a month for free. Without obligation," it says at the bottom of the page on the Czech version of the Apple website, dedicated to the Apple Music service.

After clicking the button inviting users to try the service, they are redirected to iTunes, where they can - if they have not already done so in the past - activate a one-month free trial period. While Apple's website is being updated in this regard, there are still a number of advertisements and trailers on the Internet, enticing the original three-month free trial period.

While the Czech version of Apple's website offers a one-month free trial period as a matter of course, users in some parts of the world still have the opportunity to use the original three-month period, while others only see a warning that this period is to be shortened in the foreseeable future. The Mac Rumors server for example reported on the banner on Apple's website.

Offering a three-month free trial is not very common in this area, and it was an unusually generous gesture on Apple's part. Usually, the free trial period is around one month, which is also the case with competitor Spotify. Pandora, for example, also promises a free month to try.

Apple managed to surpass 60 million paying subscribers this year with its Apple Music service. In relation to its competitor Spotify, it still has a lot to catch up on, but the management is reportedly satisfied with the growth of the service and anticipates further improvements in the future. Apple Music seems to have gained the most popularity in the United States.
