Apple has come up with a new measure, perhaps with a bit of a twist, which should ensure that applications that serve to cryopromenia mining. This is a reaction to the case with the Calendar 2 application, where it turned out that cryptocurrency mining processes are taking place in the background, without the users' knowledge.

In March, information appeared in the media that the developer of the popular application Calendar 2 had come up with a really interesting way of monetizing his application. He offered this to users for free, but during use, mining of cryptocurrency took place in the background of the application. As soon as this information became public, the author of the application had to stop this practice. Now Apple has introduced new standards for apps in the App Store that explicitly prohibit such behavior.

Apple amended and added subsection 2.4.2 and the App Store Policy. The new one talks about the fact that developers must write their applications with regard to not consuming an excessive amount of energy and power from the user's device, as well as not to generate unnecessary heat. Cryptocurrency mining falls under all of these subsections and is thus directly prohibited. Additionally, in the latest version, cryptocurrency mining is directly mentioned as an example that causes the aforementioned. What is your opinion on this method of "charging"? Would you be comfortable with the option to "pay" for the app's premium features by occasionally mining cryptocurrency, or do you prefer more classic payment models?
