Last Tuesday, Apple released, after several months of testing, a new version of iOS labeled 11.3. It brought several novelties, which we wrote about here. However, as it turned out, far from all the expected news arrived. Apple only tested some of them in some beta tests, but removed them from the release version. Those, it seems, will arrive only in the next update, which is starting to be tested from today and is labeled iOS 11.4.

Apple released the new iOS 11.4 beta for developer beta testing a few hours ago. The new version primarily features some key news that Apple tested in the iOS 11.3 beta test, but later removed from this version. Support for AirPlay 2, which is essential for all owners of HomePods, Apple TVs and Macs, is also reported to be returning. AirPlay 2 brings in particular support for simultaneous playback in several different rooms at once, improved control of all connected speakers, etc.

In the case of the HomePod speaker, AirPlay 2 is also essential in that it should enable stereo mode, i.e. the pairing of two speakers into one stereo system. However, this function is still not available, as HomePod also has to wait for beta version 11.4. However, it can be expected that this will happen in the coming days. However, the user interface in iOS clearly demonstrates this innovation.

The second big news that is coming back is the presence of iMessage synchronization on iCloud. This function also appeared in one of the February beta versions of iOS 11.3, but it did not make it to the public version. Now it's back, so users can test how the feature works. This is a very useful tool that will allow you to have all iMessages on all your Apple devices. If you delete any messages on one device, the change will be reflected on the others. This feature will also help in case of restoring any of the connected devices. You can view the list of new products in the video above.
