Apple originally promised to start selling AirPods wireless headphones in late October. In the end, however, the headphones complementing the iPhone 7 took a long, two-month delay. Today, Apple announced that it has finally started selling AirPods. In the Czech Republic, it promises delivery by Christmas.

AirPods have been introduced together with the iPhone 7, because it has lost the classic jack connector, so it is not possible to connect most headphones to it. Apple sees the future in wireless communication, and its solution is AirPods, which look the same as classic EarPods, only without wires.

However, compared to other wireless headphones, AirPods have a big advantage in the W1 chip, which makes connecting via Bluetooth much easier and, above all, more reliable. As soon as you open the case with the headphones near your iPhone, iPad or Mac, you will automatically be prompted to pair.

In addition to pairing and carrying, the headphone box also has a role in charging. At once, it is able to transfer enough energy to the AirPods for 5 hours of listening and contains a built-in battery with energy corresponding to 24 hours of listening. After fifteen minutes of charging, AirPods are able to play music for 3 hours.

AirPods also have accelerometers and optical sensors, so they recognize when the user has them in the ear and when to play. There is also Siri support.

The reason for such a significant delay is unknown. According to some resources Apple solved technical problems so that both headphones received the same signal and did not play one or the other with a delay, other sources they spoke more about production problems. Anyway, AirPods are finally on sale.

In the Czech Apple Online Store AirPods cost 4 crowns and Apple promises to deliver them by 22/12. However, it's a question of how much stock it has, so if you really want to have them at home by Christmas, don't hesitate too much to order.

Updated 13/12/2016 16.10/XNUMX AirPods stocks are indeed very limited. If you didn't manage to order them among the first, you probably won't get them by Christmas. Now the Apple Online Store reports availability two weeks.
