Last Thursday, Apple presented the last novelty of the year, iMac Pro workstation. This is a machine designed exclusively for professionals, given the hardware inside and the price, which is truly astronomical. Pre-orders have been available since last week, which Apple has started processing in recent days. According to reports from abroad, the company started shipping the first iMac Pros yesterday to those who ordered first last week and have a configuration that doesn't have to wait a few weeks longer (this is especially true for builds equipped with premium processors).

Apple will only ship a very limited number of computers by the end of this year. The vast majority of orders will be shipped after the new year. Currently, the delivery time is during the first week of next year in the case of the basic model, or when equipped with a basic processor. When choosing a deca-core processor, the delivery time will change from the 1st week of 2018 to an unspecified "one to two weeks". If you go for a quad-core processor, the delivery time is 5-7 weeks. You will have to wait the same time for the top configuration with an eighteen-core Xeon.

The launch of the new iMac Pro was accompanied by considerable controversy, especially regarding the price and the impossibility of future upgrades. Are there any of our readers who have ordered the new iMac Pro? If so, share with us in the discussion what configuration you chose and when you expect delivery.
