Today, Apple released a new version of the operating system for its Watch and prepared a great news for Czech users. In watchOS 2.1, the watch learned Czech as well as other languages. You can also dictate in Czech without any problems.
Otherwise, Apple developers focused on bug fixes in watchOS 2.1, and a significant part of the update concerns Arabic language support. There should no longer be any problems launching Calendar or third-party applications, and system stability should remain the same even when changing languages.
You install the new watchOS 2.1 via the application on the iPhone. It is necessary to have the Watch within range of the iPhone connected to Wi-Fi, both devices must be charged to at least 50% and connected to the charger.
The arrival of the Czech language in the Watch would not only mean more pleasant use for domestic users, but at the same time it could be another step towards Apple being able to officially start selling its watches in the Czech Republic. Although it does not have brick-and-mortar branches here, direct sales are not excluded due to experience from other countries. However, we do not yet have any information about the start of sales of the Watch.
If they are going to introduce watch 2 in April, I suspect that they will already be coughing on the first one in the Czech Republic. I bought a month ago in Germany. The new ones freeze a bit. but I counted on that and the performance of the first ones is already some Friday after all. Czech is good mainly because of better dictation options.
So I could dictate in Czech even with version 2.0.1.
What is this nonsense. In the Czech language, dictation has been possible for a long time. Even in third-party apps
It was possible to dictate, but the watch as such was not Czech. All texts are in Czech on the watch after updating to Watch OS 2.1, then setting the system language to Czech and the necessary restart. But sometimes it is harmful, e.g. the Czech text Set, compared to the English Set, is really long and interferes with the other symbols in the case of the Minutka application and its Complications on the dial :-)
A little off topic, I admit, but when will siri be on the way? Any guesses?
