In recent days, there has been more and more talk about the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7, which should be presented in just a few weeks. This expected product is expected to come with an extremely interesting change in the form of a new design. In this direction, Apple is supposed to be based on the form of the iPhone 12 (Pro) and iPad Air 4th generation, thanks to which we can therefore look forward to watches in the style of sharp edges. Unfortunately, according to the latest information, there were complications in production.

Why might the Apple Watch arrive late?

Nikkei Asia reported on this fact. Mass production has reportedly been delayed for a relatively serious reason, namely the newer and more complicated product design. The test production phase was supposed to start last week. In the process, however, apple suppliers ran into a lot of critical complications, which made it impossible to meet the required standards and produce a certain number of pieces in a given time frame. If this information is true, it means only one thing - the Apple Watch Series 7 will not be presented in September, and we will probably have to wait a little longer for it.

Render of iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7

At the same time, there is an interesting parallel with last fall, specifically with the presentation of the current generation of Apple phones and watches. While last year Apple had problems with the production of the iPhone 12 (Pro), the unveiling of which was postponed until October for these reasons, the Apple Watch Series 6, on the other hand, managed to launch traditionally in September. This year, however, the situation has turned around, and for now it looks like the phones will arrive in September, but we'll have to wait for the watches, probably until October. Problems with the Nikkei Asia portal's production are said to have been confirmed by three well-informed sources. The fault should be specifically the insufficient quality of the production itself, which is caused by a more complex design. Suppliers thus have problems putting together electronic modules, components and displays, which represents several imaginary steps back.

Brand new health sensor

At the same time, extremely interesting information appeared regarding a completely new health sensor. According to information from Nikkei Asia, Apple should bet on a blood pressure sensor in the case of the expected Apple Watch Series 7. However, here we get into an even more interesting situation. A number of leading analysts, including Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman, have previously agreed that we won't see any similar health gadgets this year. According to Gurman, Apple first considered the possibility of measuring body temperature for this year's generation, but due to insufficient quality, he was forced to postpone the gadget until next year.

But Gurman's news does not necessarily mean that the arrival of similar news is unrealistic. Some earlier reports also talked about the arrival of a sensor for measuring blood pressure, which was also initially assumed to arrive already in the case of the Apple Watch Series 6. However, due to insufficiently accurate results, we did not get to see this function. This sensor should also have its share of production problems. This is because the suppliers have to flawlessly fit more components into the newer body, with great emphasis on build quality and of course the watch has to meet water resistance standards.

When will the Apple Watch Series 7 be introduced

Of course, it is currently very difficult to estimate when we will see the official unveiling of the new generation of Apple watches. Considering the latest news from Nikkei Asia, we can probably count on a postponement to October. In any case, Apple is expected to conduct its autumn keynotes in virtual form again, which gives the company a lot of advantages. He does not have to solve problems with whether enough journalists and experts will arrive at his official conference, since everything will take place in the online space.

In any case, there is still a chance that suppliers will be able to jump on the so-called bandwagon and be able to start mass production again. In theory, the September presentation of both the iPhone 13 (Pro) and the Apple Watch Series 7 is still in play. The advantage is that we won't have to wait long for official information.
