It was speculated that the new watch will boast a more angular design and a larger display as well as a case that will increase from 40 and 44 mm to 41 and 45 mm. But it was not clear whether older straps would be compatible with the new watch - and now we finally have an answer.

The most common rumor was that, due to the new (more square) design, it would not be possible to use the old straps with the new Apple Watch Series 7. Fortunately, Apple has definitively refuted these reports today. Although the display of the Apple Watch has indeed increased, on the contrary, we have not seen a major redesign and there is no need to worry about the aforementioned compatibility. The same was also the case with the Apple Watch Series 4. They also switched to a larger case size (from 38 and 42 mm to 40 and 44 mm), but still had no problems using older straps. After all, Apple also informs about this directly on its website.

Let's quickly go through the changes that Apple Watch Series 7 brings. As mentioned above, the biggest attraction is undoubtedly the display. It is now slightly larger and clearer, thanks to which more information can be displayed on it, or you can work with it significantly better. To make matters worse, the display as such should also be significantly more durable. The watch can still be charged from 0 to 80% in just 45 minutes using a USB-C cable. However, if you are in a hurry, 8 minutes of charging will give you enough "juice" for 8 hours of sleep monitoring.
