Today we will not rest from Apple Watch. Even if they are not fully aware abroad that in some Czech Republic we are rejoicing about the arrival of the Apple Watch LTE, by coincidence the Bloomberg agency came up with what the new generation of this watch could look like. Apple Watch Series 7 will thus get thinner bezels around the display, but also better broadband technology.

According to news therefore, Apple intends to radically change the design of its watches, when the Apple Watch Series 7 should primarily have thinner frames around the display. It will also use a new lamination technology to reduce the gap between the display and its cover glass. This would be the first major change since the Series 4, which was introduced in 2018. Apart from this, more advanced broadband technology, or UWB, is also expected to come, which should probably work better with the Find platform. A more powerful chip is a matter of course.

Measurement of body temperature and blood sugar

Bloomberg also mentions that Apple had intended to include a body temperature sensor in the body of the next-generation watch, but that technology has reportedly been delayed until 2022. And that's a shame. If the Apple Watch can measure heart rate, blood oxygenation, and more, why can't it simply measure body temperature? It would be especially useful in the time of covid, in which an elevated body temperature is the first indication of a possible infection. But it is evident that, in order to avoid distortion of measurement results due to environmental influences, the company needs to test this measurement for some time.

The future generation of the Apple Watch was also expected to learn to measure blood glucose levels, using a non-invasive method. But even these plans have been moved to next year, according to Bloomberg. The year 2022 could thus be a big milestone for the Apple Watch. Apart from the aforementioned new features, it should also feature Apple Watch SE 2nd generation. In our region, it could also be assumed that from the beginning of sales of the new generation, both the basic version of GPS and GPS + Cellular, as Apple refers to the version of the watch with LTE technology, will be available. And who knows, maybe we'll see 5G connectivity soon. The new generation of Apple Watch should be presented at the turn of September/October.
