While iPhones have not been doing very well in recent months, the Apple Watch has been celebrating success. Not only are sales of Apple's smartwatches steadily increasing, but they also occupy a privileged position in the market.

The Apple Watch continues to be the most popular smartwatch on the market. They slightly increased their share to 35,8%, leaving the competition far behind. According to an analytical firm Counterpoint Research every third smartwatch sold is an Apple watch.

Of course, Cupertino's competition is also gradually growing. The second most important player is Samsung, which took a total bite of 11,1% of the share and grew significantly compared to last year. The Korean company wants to use the same strategy as Apple and increasingly offers its connected ecosystem, in which, in addition to smartphones and watches, we can also include electronics from other segments such as smart TVs or computers.

Since Apple has never given sales figures in the category of wearables, it is not very possible to determine the number of units sold. Analysts estimated that the increase in Apple Watch sales could be around 49% in an annual comparison. However, these numbers must be taken with a grain of salt.

For ECG in Apple Watch for a trip to Austria

However, Cupertino itself boasted when announcing results for the second fiscal quarter that the wearables, home and accessories category grew to a record $5,1 billion. At the same time, the main drivers should be the Watch and AirPods, while the smart speaker HomePod is rather lively and sales have been poor for a long time.

Meanwhile, Apple continues to expand the support for the ECG function, which is the main attraction of the fourth generation Apple Watch. Recently has spread to a total of nineteen European countries including our neighbors and also Hong Kong. Unfortunately, our country must continue to wait.
