After the launch of the iPhone 4, the latest addition to the Apple family received a lot of positive reviews. The evidence of a signal drop after touching the left side of the iPhone - Death Grip, however, cast a shadow over the new product. Almost every technical magazine wrote more than one article about this "fiasco" of precise Apple, in which they literally handed the iPhone 4.
At the time, Apple itself commented on this case as a non-existent thing and patched up the problem with a later released update, which was not enough for many, and thus there were assumptions that Apple secretly changed the material of the side frame, which will significantly prevent the signal from dropping in the event of a possible touch. As usual, not a single variant has been confirmed yet, and just a few days ago, another one appeared in the world. Apple recently issued a new patent related to the signal error just mentioned. According to the images that you can see below, Apple apparently plans to hide the 3G antenna behind the apple logo that is typical on every product of the Californian company. The logo does not come into contact with the hand when making a phone call, and this should reduce the signal drop to a minimum. However, the logo would no longer have to be printed on the devices, but literally engraved, which will bring, among other things, great design progress.
In addition to the iPhone, you must have noticed a laptop in the picture, which the patent will probably cover as well. Do you think this means that Apple is planning to plant a 3G antenna in Macbooks as well? Will we be making phone calls from Macs in the future? Share your opinion in the comments.

I don't see, I'm glad there is some progress. To be honest, I have 4 for about 3 months and I only get a significant drop in signal if I hold the phone in my left hand. Unfortunately, I bought it right at the beginning of October, so I was no longer entitled to a free bumper, which made me a little worried, but then again, with my normal, classic grip, I haven't had a call fall out yet. The only thing I'm still thinking about is ordering a "Termnate call" sticker (just put it in a rubber band :), otherwise we'll see what the next versions of the iPhone bring :)
Yes, you could try it, and you would run out of 90%, I myself had a bumper (specifically in case snap case smoke) for lunch on October 3rd, and it arrived, some had it for lunch until December 12th, and they also ran out. I bought the iPhone here on October 1.
I too thought Antenagate was just induced until I got my iP4 and found out that where others have 3G on their Nokia I have an E and the odd 3G line here and there.
Wow, finally 3G on MacBooks, I think from the picture it's a tutka, it's just going to take a while. But for God, such an amazing thing as MacBook Air and without a 3G modem, God!!! A tablet is fine, but many managers simply need a laptop, such as me and my colleague. The colleague is calm, he is Widlař, so he has a sony Vaio, albeit for a lot of money, but he has it. But he likes Apple in terms of design and he keeps asking me to write to Steve to add the 3G modem. I have a MacBook Pro, an Air, and I still carry a usb 3G modem with me like an idiot :-( Also, the fact that they have now increased the resolution on the Air was also a shame against the competition.
The antenna is no problem, it is an artificially induced duck and someone's oven always catches on to it (satisfied owner 4)
I have an iP4 (purchased on November 30.11.2010, XNUMX from a Czech operator) and when I grab it with the "death grip" style, the signal is visibly lost - I'm not going to lie about it (the design of the antenna is simply not ideal). However, I have not yet lost signal in the city (I will see how it will be in places where there is almost no signal). It should be noted, however, that other new products on the market in the field of smart phones suffer from the same problem, which often manifests itself much more drastically, and in general, every phone has an antenna located somewhere, which if you cover it (death grip), the signal will drop. It's just a matter of where the antenna is structurally placed.
I think the antenna in the apple will be on the Wi-Fi of the MacBook
Hi, I solved the problem, only by learning how to hold the iPhone 4 in a different way, it doesn't cause me a problem, I've never used the phone as a proper piece of headphones anyway. Just "elegantly" a few fingers.
However, in our region, where we do not use 3G networks primarily like in the USA, there is no problem with call drops. However, if you want to surf the Internet briskly, you must be able to hold your phone.
It's a paradox, this is quite a problem, even so Apple fans, or iPhone, they buy it anyway and they like it.
Bye
On the iMac, Apple already uses this patent, on the back of the monitor - there is a plastic logo, behind which there is wifi. Otherwise, the entire back is made of aluminum (like the entire iMac, except for the display :-) ).
I personally think that Macbooks will have a 3G antenna behind the apple and Macbooks will start to be equipped with an integrated SIM card (as is planned for the iP).
This would make connecting to the Internet "instantly" a breeze...
