Apple has previously announced that he is preparing his own TV show, which will focus on applications and their developers. But now the new concept has come a lot closer to reality, as the company has put out a casting call for performers and officially named the show "Planet of the Apps".

The show will be produced by Popagate, a company co-owned by Ben Silverman and Howard T. Owens. Rapper Will.i.am will also be part of the production team.

The casting call calls for app creators with a vision to "shape the future, solve real problems and inspire change in our everyday lives." Silverman's appeal to such creators is that the show can tell their story and describe how their apps are created.

However, Apple and the producers of the TV show claim that it is more than just a reality show. As part of their participation in the show, developers will also receive valuable advice from the best experts in the field of technology and entertainment. In addition, creators who make it to the finals will meet investors who will invest up to $10 million in their applications, giving developers the opportunity to make a real "hole in the world" with their creation. However, developers will be able to reject investments and thus retain their independence.

It is not yet clear when and how the show will be broadcast. Filming should begin this year and continue in early 2017 in Los Angeles. Interested developers who want to perform on the show must have a working beta of their app ready by October 21st. They must also be over 18 and plan to develop an app for iOS, macOS, tvOS, or watchOS.
