Today, Apple surprised us with the introduction of the new 27″ iMac (2020). The announcement itself was made through a press release on the website of the Californian company. Of course, this model has received many improvements and definitely has a lot to offer. But Apple did not forget about its two colleagues, i.e. the 21,5″ iMac and the more professional iMac Pro. They received minor improvements.

The mentioned 21,5″ iMac has not changed in the field of performance. Even now, we can equip it with the same variants of operating memory and the same processors. Fortunately, the change has come in the storage field. After years, the Californian giant has finally decided to remove the archaic HDD from the Apple range, which means that the iMac can only be fitted with SSD or Fusion Drive storage. Specifically, customers can choose from 256GB, 512GB and 1TB SSD drives, or alternatively choose a 1TB Fusion Drive.

But we will return to the operating memory for a moment. Since the redesign of the 2012″ iMac in 21,5, users were no longer able to replace the RAM themselves because the product itself did not allow it. However, according to the latest product photos from the apple company's website, it looks like it has returned the hinged space on the back of the iMac for user replacement of the aforementioned operating memory.

If you're expecting similar changes for the iMac Pro, you're wrong. The only change in the case of this model comes in the processor. Apple has stopped selling the eight-core processor, thanks to which we can now find a decent CPU with ten cores in the basic configuration. But it is necessary to mention that it is still the same processor, which is Intel Xeon.
